"Moisture has been detected / check charger USB port"

Wawa last: My device had no exposure to moisture but got this error for five days. Using your suggestion cleared the moisture symbol, but now USB port doesn't charge at all. Any next step ideas?
Was it charging before you cleaned it?

No. The moisture error prevents this. Moisture error was gone after performing Wawa lasts suggestion, but charging still not possible.

It wasn't clear to me if you were getting the error message all of the time. You probably have a damaged port. I'm also assuming you tried more than one cable or charger.

Yeah. I've tried everything. I've decided to give up. Returning this certified refurbished POS.

Just a heads up , I had this issue with my Note 9 and reinstalled the firmware again (flashed through Odin) everything ok so far .

Thanks but just can't spend more time trying to troubleshoot an issue on a new phone. I surrender

What worked for my wife's S7 Edge was to go into the app manager and look for the "USB Settings" app. You'll have to use the option to view system files to see it. Go into it and select to clear the app data, then restart the phone.

Turn on POWER SAVING, choose the MAX setting for extending battery life, once the cycle is complete plug in the charger and revert back to normal... Thank me later

What do you mean exactly by "once the cycle is complete"? to let it fully die?

Wawa you are my hero and a rocket scientist. None of the other solutions worked to get rid of the moisture error on my Samsung S9 but your suggestion of changing the battery setting worked like a charm. Not sure why this worked or how this worked but just thankful you posted this solution as the error was driving me crazy. I only wish I had found your post earlier.

Thanks again.
