There was an article that AC posted several weeks ago and it was a G+ post from one of Motorola's own and he said that they were working on an update.

Although I like my 360, I would not have bought it if it hadn't been on the "getting Wifi" list. If this turns out to be an "oops, we can't actually make this work" kind of issue I will be very disappointed.

They have posted replies to messages on their initial tweet about the performance issue.

They said that they are working on testing and no plans to abandon the update in any way so we will definitely see it in some capacity. The problem is that it will take some time to test and then roll out. Probably anything up to and over a month. I just hope all features are available and it's not at the expense of the battery life

This is amazing news! I'm a bit worried it's very soon from their last tweet I hope they have tested this. It would be good to hear feedback from everyone on the performance and battery after this update. I will post my findings but no update available as of yet

Location is irrelevant.

Goes by imei number or serial number, once your number is released it will go. At least that is how I've heard it's done.

Not sure yet, I've had it on the charger after the update. Once I have a good days use, I will report back with battery life.

Nope. No one has been able to confirm how they roll, but suspect they are possibly batched by serial. Hasn't mattered by device or location in the past.
