Moto X (1st gen): high pitched squeaks after every notification sound?

I've got a Verizon DE. Starting a couple of days ago I get two high pitched squeaks after every notification sound. That is, there's the notification sound, followed immediately by a pair of squeaks. I've changed the notification sound, but that didn't work..

Any help appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! What about other sounds, like ringtones?

Try wiping the cache partition: https://motorola-global-portal.cust...tail/a_id/94946/p/30,6720,8696/kw/clear cache

Thanks for the quick reply. No, it doesn't happen with ringtones, only notifications.

And this morning, without a reboot or clearing cache or anything, the squeaks went away.
