Moto X 2014 Cases!

Why don't you recommend it any more? The Case-mate Tough Case was my favorite case for my 1st Gen Moto.

It started to take on color of my jeans, within two days it had a blue hue on the silicone bumper. Mind you I wear light blue jeans that have been washed many times so they are not particularly bleeding color anymore. Also the edges around the charging port on the silicone part are very sharp and were irritating my finger while holding the phone a certain way.

Hey man that looks pretty nice. Is it a dust or lint collector at all? Is it grippy or anything? Is it only in the AT&T store? Would love to get a case like yours, thanks!

Dust and lint collector yes around the edges between the silicone number and screen, around the edges of silicone bumper and case and any open ports would be plagued with dust after being in the pocket. Not grippy at all as the plastic back is very slippery and takes on oil from your hands. A quick hand wash with some dish soap solves the problem but comes back very quick

Could you please tell us why?

Where did you find a clear version? I searched google and it pulls up Amazon and Newegg but it doesn't have a clear back like this one

Its a frost type back, but when its on the phone the frost is very subtle. Looks great. It had sharp corners at the USB port as well, like the casemate. But a little emery board fixes it up nicely

Just got my Moto X yesterday and I ordered the Hula bumper from Motorola and the Sup case Unicorn Beetle case. After comparing the 2, I am going with the Hula case, The SupCase that I bought feels great and is grippy on the sides. The downside is that the back dulls the blue color and changes it to more of a light blue. I ordered the Clear Frost case for the SupCase.

I picked up a body glove case off of ebay. Completely covers up the back but it's a nice case and I like the contrast of the black with the white front.

I went with the Hula protective bumper (Chalk) offered on the Motomaker website. My Moto X is white front, cognac leather back, gold trim. Wanted to show off the leather back. Chalk color of bumper blends nicely with white front.

The black/charcoal bumper blends well with the black front and still looks fine with the cognac leather. Also like how the bumper covers and protects the leather edges around the phone. Wondering if it will also cover and solve the edging fit issues with the tempered glass currently available for this phone.

Will provide some shock absorption if it hits on the edge in a fall while protecting the metal. Also keeps the leather back and glass front from contact with whatever surface the phone it sitting on. Obviously it offers virtually no glass protection if the glass is first contact in a fall.

Really, the most important protection it offers is preventative - it gives the phone a better hold and feel in the hand, making a mishandle much less likely. (My observation after just two days with the phone. YMMV.)

Casemate makes a nice minimal clear and frosted gel case. The sharp edges leave a little impression around the camera and logo cutout if you have a leather back though.

I bought this from aliexpress, they have lots of misc Chinese accessories for devices even before they get to eBay. But they are shipping from China so they'll take a while to arrive. The case does curve where the dimple is so you retain the dimple.

It's a snap on case, so only the left and right edge are protruding in front, enough to protect it from falls, the top and bottom are exposed.

I guess the grip is okay, but not great, it's hard plastic. My Moto X having metal frame and bamboo is little slippy and this case give it a little better grip.
