Moto X 2014 Cases!

I got that Hula Bumper ordered with mine.

I'm seriously considering that one, since the back looks clear. I'm just not sure of the texture. I need something that isn't super smooth, or the phone will slip out of my hands too easily. I'm too much of a butterfingers.

I like the look of this new one from Motorola's site: Motorola

It doesn't have a back so it's more of a bumper case but seems like it'll protect the corners of the device well while still showing off the custom back.
I'd like to know how people like this case. It's caught my eye. I usually can't stand covered buttons tho. Need a cutout like cruzerlite.

I contacted the brand, Rearth, to see if they were making a case for the Moto X 2014 and they confirmed. I had a good experience with their case for my Nexus so I'm most likely going with them. I would also like to see a nice flip cover case.

I'm a big fan of the Hula Bumper Case. I threw one in my MotoMaker cart when I bought my phone, and I'm very impressed. I won't use it all the time, but it provides just the right amount of grip and protection for those times when you're going to be in situations where you might be more prone to dropping your phone. While it does completely cover up the metal trim, it looks nice and doesn't detract from the overall look of the phone OR signal quality.

Post a pic please. :)

Does it have a big enough lip to protect the back of the phone in the center, since it's a little bit fatter?

Oh yes. Photos forthcoming per drew_sf's request... as soon as I can figure out how to upload them so they're aligned properly...

Very grippy. Makes the phone much easier to hold with confidence (I was out at bars with colleagues last night for over six hours, and let me just tell you that I was MUCH more comfortable with my ability to easily hold onto the phone in that situation than I would have been with the phone naked. It has easily justified my purchase in one night of use.). Back is definitely "protected", as much as an open-backed case can afford. Bonus: included in the photos is my Power Pack Micro, another purchase I'm very happy with. IMG_0020.jpgIMG_0019.jpgIMG_0018.jpg

Also, the fit is perfect. Power button is textured just like the Moto X. Button presses are clean and almost like there's no case at all.

Have you added a screen protector do ti as well?

Nah. I had my OG Moto X since the first day that MotoMaker deliveries arrived and never got a noticeable scratch on the screen. It's been quite a while since I used a screen protector.

I ordered this one from Amazon:

Moto X Case - Exact Moto X 2nd Gen Case [JUMP Series] - X Design SoftGel Flexible TPU Case Cover for New Motorola Moto X 2nd Gen 2014 (XT1097) Clear

I got the hula bumper. I like it a lot. Even the power buttons are jagged as if there's no bumper on it. Great bumper for 20 bucks

I wanted to get a Hula bumper but couldn't. I ended up getting a Supcase from Amazon for now. I will probably end up with a Hula and Otterbox to change out as needed.
