Moto X 2014 Cases!

The Case-Mate Naked Tough Case is starting to show up in some ATT stores. Apparently, ATT is getting priority, as the case is still not available from Case-Mates's own website. I was able to buy one yesterday at an ATT store in NYC. I was happy to find that the case did not have an ATT logo on the back, as shown in the photo posted earlier by JB. So far, I like this case much better than the Supcase which I was using previously. It is completely clear, and shows off the custom back and trim to full advantage. I also find that the power button works more easily than it did on the Supcase.

Which AT&T store in NYC? I keep checking on line but they say no stores here have them in stock.

I got this case yesterday. It fits very well and I like the fact that the back is a matte finish and does not show any finger prints, while the front lip of the case around the phone is the same piano black satin color as the phone.

In the picture, it looks like it covers up the dimple. Is that true?

Picked this up at the At&t store in Indy. Did have to go to a couple of stores to find it though. Very happy with the two part design and matching power and volume buttons. With the original moto x I had the otter box commuter but it defeated the purpose of having a custom wood back. This case still gives me a piece of mind and still looks good.

Definitely recommend.

I love the Ebony backing! Goes well with the gray and white front. Even the black front I think it would looks great. You can't go wrong with it! :) If you want better photos just PM me and I can send some more.

Cool. I just ordered a few hours ago and copied your design Lol.. take it as a compliment :-)

Just got the Hyperion honey comb. Looks good, fits tight, and button covers feel firm and clicky. Definitely recommend it.

I like my Cruzerlite case on my HTC One M8 right now. I'm planning on buying a new Moto X (2014) shortly and will probably buy one again for that on Amazon: Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit TPU Case for the New Moto X (2014) - Retail Packaging - Teal

They have numerous colors... it will cover up your back cover, but it will also protect it if and when it does fall.

I just want to post a couple of my own pictures of this... it's basic, simple, and does the job by protecting the body as well as the screen... my Pure Edition 32GB has a Purple back and Gold accent on the speakers (MN Viking colors).

I'm actually really liking the Hula Bumper case from Motorola. It gives good corner protection and keeps the back elevated off surfaces but still allows me to see/feel the custom wood back. We'll see how long I last without worrying too much about the open back though...

What case would you guys recommend, to be used with a holster? That is how I normally roll. Also, any recommendations on leather horizontal belt holsters? Thanks!

I've searched high and low for some clear case options for the new X. Sadly there are only a handful of cases available for the phone.

Tudia is one that is "OK" and my second and last option is the Evecase...

All the other cases have the "wave" or "S" design on the back... I'm not a fan of either one...

Just took delivery on my SUPCASE Heavy Duty Unicorn Beetle PRO Series. It came well ahead of the original shipping estimate. The belt clip rotates to hold the phone vertically or horizontally. Case is rugged without adding too much bulk. It's a full enclosure with a very clear plastic screen protector. It's very much like an OtterBox without the cost of an OtterBox. Cutouts for the mic holes are flawless and the designers left the Moto dimple exposed which most don't. So far I love it.

I'm in India and I've only got two options: Diztronic matte TPU or Casemate Naked tough case. I like the diztronic but it'll cover the Moto logo. Casemate has a translucent bumper which isn't really attractive. Totally confused..

Hey Yashvardhan,

Could you tell me where to get the casemate case from? I'm not able to find it in India.

Thank you!

I have always used Seidio surface case and holster combos on my phones. I got tired of waiting for Seidio to come out with one for the new Moto X. I ended up getting a Casemate naked tough case for the new Moto X and the surface holster for the Galaxy s5. They fit pretty well together. The only downside is the old surface holster for my old Moto X had a split in the clip part that goes over the top of the phone to accommodate something plugged into the headphone jack. this clip doesn't have that. This doesn't bother me since i typically use a Bluetooth headset if i am going to be listening to something on my phone while I am walking around with it. Even if I did need to plug something in, I could put the phone in the holster backwards and nothing would interfere with the jack.
Just thought I'd share my experience.

Thanks for the helpful review. This looks like a good choice for me as I'm in construction. Question.. Is it easy or difficult to remove and put back on? Reason being is I would want to use it for work only, so I'd be removing and installing every day.
