Moto X 2014 Cases!

Thanks for the helpful review. This looks like a good choice for me as I'm in construction. Question.. Is it easy or difficult to remove and put back on? Reason being is I would want to use it for work only, so I'd be removing and installing every day.

This was one of my concerns too. I only use it on the soccer field. After some practice it takes me about 30s to take the phone out of the case and half that to put it back in. Shouldn't be a problem.

Quick update on the casemate naked tough case:

After spending a few days with it, sadly it will be going back. Love the case however two flaws with it. First is the way I hold my phone, my finger sits underneath the charging port, and the case has a very sharp point there which becomes irritating after holding it for some time. Second which is much bigger issue IMO is that the silicone bumper started taking on the color of my jeans. I don't wear dark jeans either, they are light blue and have been through a wash a couple of dozen times so its not like they are bleeding the color, but from being in the pocket the bumper started taking on a blue hue.

Picked this up at the At&t store in Indy. Did have to go to a couple of stores to find it though. Very happy with the two part design and matching power and volume buttons. With the original moto x I had the otter box commuter but it defeated the purpose of having a custom wood back. This case still gives me a piece of mind and still looks good.

Definitely recommend.

Looks good. What is it?

I'm actually really liking the Hula Bumper case from Motorola. It gives good corner protection and keeps the back elevated off surfaces but still allows me to see/feel the custom wood back. We'll see how long I last without worrying too much about the open back though...

I'm still waiting for my Hulu "bumper case." Like you, I have a custom wood back (ebony). It would be a crime to cover up that wood with anything, even a clear back, IMO. I want to keep the wood feel. Not so slippery. Not to mention beautiful.

While I agree I think I have mine covered for now just because of how new it is! I might take my Diztronic case off in the near future. :P

Casemate naked tough case. Although read my reply a couple of posts back about the update. I no longer recommend it.

Why don't you recommend it any more? The Case-mate Tough Case was my favorite case for my 1st Gen Moto.

I'm really disappointed in the choice of cases for this phone. I want something that's totally transparent and not bulky like I have for the 1st gen Moto X.

I'm using the Incipio TPU case from amazon. Its not THAT bulky and adds some grip to the phone. Fine, it does cover the back but I am walking around on campus a lot so I figured I could take care of my device. Happy with it for now though!

Hey man that looks pretty nice. Is it a dust or lint collector at all? Is it grippy or anything? Is it only in the AT&T store? Would love to get a case like yours, thanks!

Here is the Gelli case from Moto's website. I would never pay $24.99 for a simple TPU case but it was free, and it's nice. The buttons are not 'clicky' like the Diztronic is, but I really like to smoke transparent color and that the cutout extends to the dimple.

IMG_20141023_212011.jpgSo far this has been the best case for me. Supcase unicorn beetle. It had some really sharp seams along the edge of the tpu material. I took an emery board, sanded it down now it feels great. Comfortable, grippy, and shows off the bamboo nicely. It reminds me of my ringke fusion hybrid for my nexus 4, my favorite case of all time. Ringke doesn't make on for the moto x though which is a shame, because that perfectly clear backplate was made for the customizable moto x!

Where did you find a clear version? I searched google and it pulls up Amazon and Newegg but it doesn't have a clear back like this one
