You know, I feel bad for people who ordered a ways back and have not yet received their phone, while others who ordered later have already received theirs. However, I can't help but feel that the majority of people complaining here would have nothing to complain about if they had not read about faster ship times for some people. I'm reading posts from people upset that their phone hasn't shipped, when the original estimated arrival date is still over a week away. I understand the want and need for your new shiny, but sitting here reading posts from lucky people who got theirs already and fuming because yours hasn't arrived early seems rather unhealthy and counterproductive.

Once I order mine you can bet I'll be avoiding this thread like the plague *unless* my ship date comes and goes with no phone. If the phone is actually late, that's a legitimate beef. Otherwise I'd just be torturing myself.

No other company I've dealt with charges you up front, sits on your money, does not deliver the product for multiple weeks after the charge, all while not communicating the status and their reasoning for the delays of some "unlucky" customers. This is just bad business and is a sign of what kind of support to expect after you are past the Motorola return period. None.

I've been nervous from all the posts I've read about the delays on delivery. Fingers crossed, I just ordered mine. Black/black/silver 32gb AT&T supposed to be delivered 10/22/2014. I guess now just wait and see if it shows up.

I ordered the 26th. Originally it was a healed for delivery on the 13th, but I got it on the 7th.

Verizon, 32gb, white front, walnut back.

I can certainly understand everybody's frustration. But personally I don't feel I have the right to complain. When I ordered the phone, it was clearly stated that my CC would be charged at the time of the order. And my estimated delivery date was 10/23, which is still a week and a half away. I've been hoping that it would be delivered before the 23rd, but that would have been pure gravy. Now if the 23rd comes and goes and still no phone, then I'll start calling customer service.

Thats not true for everyone. Both of my estimated dates have passed. The next one is promised 17th after the delay and they are still saying they have no idea whats going on. When you have people telling you oh it will be delivered bla bla, you can only take so much. I waited patiently until the 9th and then I got the delay email. I am still waiting and they can't even promise that anymore. Just facing delay sir you will get it soon, we are trying our best. Thats all I get from them. While other people have no problem getting their 32gb sooner than promised date.

I thought I'd add my situation as well. I ordered a 32GB Pure Edition, black front, crimson back, royal blue trim, with engraving, on 9/30 at 9:30 P.M. At 3:00 A.M. on 10/1, I received the "We are assembling it email". The estimated delivery was 10/9. On 10/9, I called customer support because I had not received anything since 10/1. The rep was very nice and easy to understand. He offered me a $25 code, but was not able to give me any useful information on the status. On 10/10, I received the " Congratulations on your new Moto X" email, which was a little disappointing since I don't have it yet.

You are one of those who I feel has a definite legitimate beef, as I said. When the delivery date passes with no phone, or keeps getting pushed back, that's bad enough. Combined with the lack of communication many have reported from Motorola, it's terrible. I do hope you and others finally get some resolution to your situation, either a refund or finally getting your phone plus some extra goodie from Motorola for your trouble. It's bad situations like this that remind me of my love-hate relationship with Motorola over the years.

Motorola is really messing up badly.. At least some people getting email but me I haven't got anything from them and still have no phone this is really bad
 
I think we can agree that most of us who are upset, are because we just expect better communication -especially from a company which deals heavily on communication products/solutions.

Moto 360 shipped, no email to me

Wife's X and 2 cases shipped, no email to me. Thanks to those who recommended the FedEx tip as without I wouldn't have known. Moto site still says not shipped. Even though Motorola are not obligated to email us, it would be great they did (or if system worked) as I wouldn't want my device waiting at the front door for someone else to pick up (signature is not required).

live chatted with few moto reps, each one has a different answer. I don't blame them as they are limited to what they see on their screens, but even the shipper doesn't know the shipment went out :-(
One rep told me Friday that my order is ready to be picked up and I would have it in 2 days; though when I kept asking him to know more about it, he sounded more hesitant on what he first told me.

They claimed white front were on back order for 4 weeks, yet my wife's white front phone got here before mine which is to have a black front. Something is just too funky with their communication.

Just like we all thought we'd finally know more on the 25th, it was really the following day. Their invite didn't say private press event - after all we are the ones buying the products, not the press.

Have I cancelled my phone, no. Will I, no. I will wait, it won't kill me. I just expect better communication.

I agree with you..but it just if it delay they should email me and say that.. We spend $500 to $600 on a phone and they don't help you at all.. I order on the 1st said the 9th it be here.. I was OK with that. But it the 13th now and I can't seem get a good answer.. :/

Mine is the exact same situation, ordered on the first, estimate the 9th. Contact them on the 10th, they can only tell me it's delayed and have no clue when it will ship or when they could update me. I really should have ordered a X 2013 off of Ebay, it would have saved me $300 and a lot of grief. Their customer service sucks.

Cliff and Felipe, which model did you order? Mine was Black front blue back 32GB vzw model ordered on 9/30 and estimated ship date is 10/23. No phone yet. No update from Moto yet.

I'm still awaiting deliver of a 32GB Pure Edition that I ordered on 9/18. Is anyone still waiting that has a date identical (or earlier) than mine? Oh, and on Friday, I was "absolutely guaranteed" delivery of the phone today (10/13). Let's see...looking for it...nope. Nothing. Maybe Motorola is hoping I'll just forget about the order and they get to keep my money.

Same order date and today was my original est delivery date that was pushed back to the 17th. We will see if it arrives

Maybe we will get it on friday.. I talked to them today they said this week they be shipping out all the delay phones.. So all we can do is hope

Got a call from motorola today from Texas number. As I had chatted with someone and they said someone from moto maker support will call me, they did as promised, but guess what? Same bull****, I can't believe they can not be honest! I count on a company to be honest! Delay is delay but when you lie to me on my face it pisses me off, set the expectations. My first order placed on 9/18 had a delivery date of 10/13. He went by textbook scenario, Hi Sir your order will be delivered today but I don't have a tracking number. It should be delivered by fedex. I was like oh okay, and then he says just in case if you don't get it today or tomorrow please call us back. Is it today or tomorrow? Are you just giving me my expected deliver by date? Oh no sir I am telling you it will be delivered. I asked is it today or tomorrow? Same crap, should be today, if not tomorrow if not call us back, lol! I just hung up on the guy. I am done with motorola, I will keep the phone but never again I will be ordering a phone from moto maker. Their ability to straight up set the customer for failed expectations has just pissed me off. Very frustrating customer experience. Motorola seriously need to step up, because after this I will never be coming back.
