Aaand it looks like it's actually my Moto X bumper case that shipped. Oh well.

I just had a wth moment - allow me to ask, do you have 2 separate orders, one for phone and one for bumper, or were they both purchased in same order and you only have 1 order number?

Reason I ask is because I just may have learned that my wait for the phones may Not yet be over. Here's what I mean. (Let me know if something is strange to you guys too or I'm over analyzing). I have a total of 2 order numbers with moto.

The first order (9/27):
2 phones + 2 cases

Second order (9/30):
moto 360 + screen protector

After Stang68's post, it made me think and look at the shipping facts. When I did, I said to myself something is definitely strange as how are 2 phones+2 cases going to all equal 1.00 lbs (as stated when tracking package). To take it further, I then compared it to the moto 360 order (which I already received), and it shows it was 2.00 lbs!!

Here are the shipping facts per Fedex:

The order that's inbound, which I thought is the 2 phone + 2 cases:
Weight: 1 lbs / 0.45 kgs
Total pieces: 1
Service: FedEx 2Day
Dimensions: 12x14x3 in.
Total shipment weight: 1 lbs / 0.45 kgs

Now: the moto 360 (+screen protector) order which already arrived:
Weight: 2 lbs / 0.91 kgs
Total shipment weight: 2 lbs / 0.91 kgs
Invoice number: **Purposely Removed** (but same as order # on moto site)
Service FedEx 2Day
Dimensions: 12x10x6 in.
Total pieces: 1

To summarize:
The moto 360 package was labelled heavier, and even a larger box.
Notice also that in the moto 360 order, fedex shows an Invoice Number, which is the same as my 360's order number on moto's site, and the Inbound package doesn't have any mention of an invoice number.

Even though I'd prefer they send me all items at once, I have a strong feeling they are sending me just the cases.

It is pretty damn frustrating to see people who ordered after others getting their phones sooner. What really amazes me though is how quite the social media world has been in reporting delivery problems.

I think this phone is still very much a niche product (vs the Apple and Samsung marketware phones), so I think the percentages probably just work out to having less complainers (denotative, not negative connotative) out there. Also, I think the demographic for this phone (I'm assuming now) is older, more mature, and less inclined to just go out and publicly ***** about problems (and possibly less social media savvy).

FWIW, I agree with you. I was surprised that mine essentially showed up in three business days. But that's why I ordered the white-faced phone, too. I had a hunch that the delays weren't going to be as bad as they'd mentioned on their site, simply because the delay notification had been up for almost three weeks, and it still said "delayed four weeks". That's not how supply chains work unless there is a true shortage. I gambled and won.

I think the black-faced phones and 32GB memory units were both issues, but that by the time those notices got to customer service, the delay was already deep (and wasn't as bad for phones originally thought to be delayed). Hope that makes sense.

TL;DR - Internal information in large companies moves like glaciers. Everything we're being told is old news.

I know that doesn't help you, but I'll bet you get it soon.

Ordered mine day one. Was delivered Oct 7. Was supposed to be on the 13th. Pretty damn good. Plus it was assembled in Texas.

The 360 does ship in a pretty big box. Where the X is in a standard 11x17 FedEx box (huge too). I think the dimensions may be predetermined and not actual. The moto x plus the bumper don't weigh 1lb.

Contacted them on Oct 3rd, they said it's ready to be released in the morning but by evening I got an email and a phone call the next day telling me I "should" receive it no later than Oct 17th and BTW here's $25 off any accessories (excluding Chromecast).
I did order the 32GB model and that's suppose to be what's causing the issue. I remember having to wait on the first Moto X for the same reason. That wait was worth it and I hope this one is too.

Read the thread and you will see frustrated just like some of us. Lots of people that ordered 32gb version and placed order at a later date got their order first. Although to me it seems like they just gave priority to verizon and att customers and gave unlocked phones less priority and expected us to just wait it out. Which sort of bull in my opinions.

multiply that by 2... my order is 2 phones + 2 gelli cases

no way my moto 360 package weighed 2 lbs - but that's what was in the shipping details, so how could 2 phones and 2 cases = 1 lbs?

btw, Moto chat has no clue what's coming my way. I'll update you guys when it gets in tomorrow.

So I just got a notification from Fedex for a Monday delivery. But I dont know which order it is.

I have two open orders right now:

1) Ordered 10/2 - est delivery 10/23 . Verizon 32gb black front/bamboo back dark grey trim. This one is getting returned after all of the posts about leather/wood peeling combined with my decision to go with the pure edition

2) Ordered 10/8 - est delivery 10/14. Pure Edition 32gb white front/black back light grey trim


/edit - it was the pure edition that shipped, just got the email from moto

still a waiting game for me too... ordered 9/27 32GB Navy Leather/Black Front est delivery 10/22. when i go on motomaker now it shows navy leather is delayed.
i would be cool waiting it out until the original est date... but watching others that placed orders same day or after me receive theirs already makes this whole experience suck. and calling moto is useless they are all clueless... there is absolutely no logic to the random delays

I'm in the same date. Ordered on the 28th with an expected delivery date of 10/3. Pushed back to the 17 "at the latest" with the $25 off code. I'm hoping they beat that timeframe.

I really think they gave unlocked versions the delay and gave contact customers priority. Really seems way because most people placing orders after us and getting it before seem to be either verizon or att models.

Mine was not. It was the unlocked 32GB and a 3-day delivery. FWIW, I can't seem to figure out the method to the madness, either.

I suspect they're catching up. Received mine today.

Ordered 10/5. Stated delivery date was 10/24.

I ordered white front (wouldn't allow me to order black at the time), 32GB with engraving.

I'm right down the road in Austin.

Wow, you got yours fast. I Ordered my Pure edition on 10/6 with a 10/24 delivery. Just a little bit south of you in SA. Still no shipping yet.

I ordered a 32GB VZW version with blue back and accents on 10/6 at 7pm EDT, got an email at 11:40 pm stating it was already being assembled with a 10/24 delivery date and no chance of getting it sooner...

shipment has arrived
BUT - but for those of you (myself included) trying to figure out moto's logistics, here's what's going to throw some of you off....

Contents of package include:
2 gelli cases
&
1 phone (instead of 2)

phone is wife's white front turquoise back dark accents - the same white front that gave me the notification they are on back-order and would delay shipment by 4 weeks.

I'm very happy for wife - and she's REALLY happy too :-D

Fedex tracking shows "delivered" while moto's site still says "not shipped - est 10/22"

Get ready for more delays. I just got word today that my order, placed 9/18 and originally scheduled for 10/13, then 10/17 is now 10/20. That's right, over a month will have passed from the time I placed an order for a freakin' phone until I receive it. That's assuming that date doesn't shift again, which I know it will. I'm doing my best to cancel the order - though I know that's impossible - and in lieu of that, will be stopping payment with my credit card. I'm done with Motorola - I refuse to do business with a company that's so inept and unfair to its customers.

I'm in the same boat. Did you sign a 2yr contact extension for your order?

I did with VZW thru Moto Maker and I'm wondering what happens to my upgrade eligibility if I cancel the Moto charge with my card company and reject the phone... if they ever do ship it?

Anybody familiar with VZW policies know my options here?
