I have been lied to then by lots of tech professionals who say otherwise. I am not saying you're wrong, I just am confused now. Can they not optimize the phone to utilize the excess RAM? I thought more RAM allowed for faster processing speed due to all the dedicated memory used to complete user requests.
Except it doesn't. The way android works, unused ram is wasted. You will not notice any performance difference whatsoever between one and two gb of ram on an android phone.
