My Bionic

I've read that the Bionic has FM, and another person in this thread said it did too. I've been trying to keep a keen eye though when you show your launcher I don't see it. However since you're the one with the Bionic could you say once and for all if it has FM?

In one of his clips, he went thru Manage Applications and I saw something that said FMRadio Service. Look from the 3: 26 mark:

Thats weird. The same thing happened with the Droid 3. It didnt come with the radio app but some folks found one from a Motorola system dump that worked. I wonder whats up with that?

Good ole monoprice. The place that the Monster Cable company hates...lol. Blue jeans cable and Amazon is good for cheaper hdmi cables too.

Yep I love Monoprice for cables. I feel bad for anyone that goes to an actual store and pays the ridiculous prices for cables.

Have you tried the GPS?

How is the camera in low light conditions?

I know you gave the phone a 8.9/10. Is there anything you don't like/ needs fixing/ bugs?

10 is impossible. Wish it was a world phone as well. Battery life is very, very good, not flawless. Pictures in low lighting will use flash if on auto.

GPS is awesome. Navigation and GPS is just like Droid 3. On nav, when you arrive at your destination street view pops up so you know that you're there!!!!

Wow, good eye! Huh...I wonder if Motorola is doing some kind of combined-platform in new blur not-blur for all of their phones, FM equipped or not. Do you have a link to that apk? I'd really like having FM on it, if only to listen to the tvs at the gym. Hope it works for the Bionic as well.

I think you need to purchase a data plan for the new line in order to be eligible for the promo price. that's my understanding of it, though i could be wrong. let me know how it works out.

^ That, since the new phone is technically being bought for the second line, Verizon won't even let you buy the phone without adding a data plan to the new line. If you know a manager at one of the stores, they might be able to finagle it to work without having to add a second data plan as well, but I wouldn't count on it.

Yes that's what I was referring to. Not sure what app will work. The apk for the Droid X should work. Not sure about world capabilities, but there is clearly no setting on the device for global like found on the Droid 3.

You do get a data plan. But any plan can be changed at any time. If you broke your current smartphone and bought a dumb phone. They can not and will not continue to charge you for data. By the way, Verizon manager is who told me the workaround.
