The regular pix 3 is similar to a s9 regular size wise which is very nice and compact

The pix 3xl is perfect size
The notch disappears as you going in and out of apps or going to app drawer.
They made the back glass curved how the 2xl was in front and made the front glass flat , so no issue look like with screen protectors.
Couldn't test sound .
Overall I think Google did good design wise .

And the report about scratching easy may not actually be the phone. From what I understand it could be substance rubbing off from the object that scratched it.
