Nav bar navigation on Android 10 Note 9 is weird

So my Note 9 on Sprint finally got the Android 10 update early this morning.
First thing I wanted to check was the navigation bar gestures, since I've used my daughter's Motorola G Power.
Well, Samsung didn't bother to give us the option to use that small line at the bottom of the screen for the nav bar!
The way they implemented said gestures feels weird. Maybe I just need to get used to it?
I've only used the phone for a few minutes since the update, so for the time been, I just switch back to the tried and trusted buttons.
Anybody else thinks the same, or likes this implementation better? Screenshot_20200303-075855_Settings.jpeg

Yes they did! I'm using a N9 on Sprint myself. What you do is select the small-bar nav option, then select the 'more choices' selection on it. That will allow you to select the '3-bar' or '1-bar' style.

I will admit that the 1-bar does look cleaner, but I've been on the 3-icon for so long, it'd be too odd to go for better than the '3-bar' myself.

Thanks!
But I can't find that option, maybe I need more time and focus since I'm at work and can't really do this right now...

I'll play more with the update tonight at home, but definitely; I don't have the option you have.

Could be worse. I am using Nova. When I first got the update, I went to Nova. Big letters. WE CAN'T DO THAT. And the side swipe wasn't there. Oh well.. I'm like you. I am use to what I got.

Finally got it, but it's still weird and not good enough!
You have to turn on the Gesture hints in order to see the 3 lines or the 1 line after pressing More options! Ugh! Of course they had to complicate things!
Now that I'm using the one line I can see Samsung had to mess with it, for example, if you want to use the back gesture, you have to swipe your finger to the left from the bottom right side of the display.
If you swipe to the left of the line, it doesn't work! Screenshot_20200303-213609_Settings.jpegScreenshot_20200303-214518_Settings.jpeg
