Hi there.

For not too long ago I installed a app called redotpay, and I had no issues.
But a few days ago a popup came up (phone pops up with request to open a website and you can choose browser)
It sent me to their website, and just informing me of some new rules which I consented to.

After this happened it has been doing this all the time, I cant basicly use the phone because it comes up all the time. (asking me to open a browser and visit the website)

What I have tried:
1. Uninstalled the app (no change)
2. Factory reset without restoring anything - Still comes as soon as im finished clicking thru the menus.
3. Hard reset / cache reset - No change, still have that message poping up asking me to open a webbrowser / same website. (redotpay)

Im currently lost =( Not sure what to do, please help me out guys!

Wow you did a factory reset without restoring any apps?

The only thing I could think is try flashing the stock firmware with Odin hopefully that resolves it

Well, first I took bacup of all the files etc to my PC, making sure I have all the backups, and then I first tried the regular reset in the settings menu, after thatI just as quick as possible got into the main screen (without logging into samsung/google etc), first thing to greet me was the popup to that website again.

So I tried again with a hard reset + cache, same thing again =(

Yeah, I'm wondering if the Play Store automatically started reinstalling apps without the OP being aware of it.
I guess the above answered this one!
Thank you guys for trying to help me, it`s so frustrating.

Im good with PC etc, built PCs since I was 10-11 (now 41), by that I mean I im not a novice that havent touched anything electronic, and i`ve never had an issue like this, having to reset and the issue is still there, like it`s planted in the memory or some weird folder I cant see on the phone.

Phone is just a few months old aswell.. is flashing it with Odin the only solution you guys can think of?
Been ages since I did this, last time was with a Playstation and Nvidia Shield.

Another thing, let`s say I was gonna flash the device with Odin, which firmware should I use?
Is this version of Odin good for the task? Odin3 v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD

Phone info:
Modelname: SM-S928B/DS
24.09 - 512GB

Hoping to avoid this, but if you guys cant find any other solutions that might help I hope this is the solution.
My thought was that there would be a way to find the files causing the issue and simply delete them but, guess this is not an easy task?

Under software version (settings/about phone/) it says the following:
SAOMC_SM-S928B_OXM_EUX_14_0161
EUX/-/EUX/EUX

Im guessing I need the firmware then for SM-S928B + EUX ?.

As said im abit lost here, and I dont want to brick my device, not that rich ;o)

Download frija firmware tool and once you connect your phone to the computer and open frija(Download latest from xda website)it should show your device with an option to download that firmware.

You'll extract that firmware and put in corresponding slots in Odin except in Odin leave userdata empty and csc slot use csc firmware

Hi again.

I tried that, but Frija doesnt want to autodetect my device, nothing happens. Tried with 3 different cables, phone appears / files on the PC but nothing on that app.

So I manually added the codes like the screenshot below, but need to be sure its the correct firmware.
Modelnumber there should be correct, and so is the IMEI/SN (inputted the serialnumber)
EUX is pure guess from the software version I posted above, in my previous reply.

Can the phone get bricked if this is the wrong firmware?

It doesnt come that often now, but it happens when I put the phone down OR if I do quick movements with the phone, like flipping it... almost like it activates on movements.. so weird.

Would the last resort be to use "nand erase" and find the pit file for my phone? (no idea where to find it)

Still not sure if this is wize or not, dont want to brick my device either.
Let me know if this might be a solution.

Cheers,
Andy

That's not good

Try running antivirus app see if it picks it up and can delete it
