Need some clarity on installing NilsP business Rom

Just rooted today!! Yeh!
thought i would post here since no one probably looks at my thread in the hacking thread
What I understand installing this rom is I download the file, take out the file "boot.img" file and put in on a easy to get to place on my computer
next I place the rom file on the external sd card and while in recovery select and install it from the "install from zip file" menu
after finished reboot and go to fastboot and connect to PC. find the "boot.img" file and in a command propt do what???

Nils makes it easier than that. During the install, his aroma installer will ask if your s-off/s-on. If your s-on, it will place a ph98img file on your sd card. After its done, you just boot into bootloader, and let it do its thing.

Okay so I put the rom on the ext sdcard and boot into recovery and select it in the install from file zip and start that and all will be easy from there?

Make sure you wipe. I do cache, data, dalvick cache, and system. Nils has an installer that guides you through the install, so ya, after the wipe, chose to instal his zip, and and your golden.

twolastnames is right....and check the thread you started in the ROM's and Hacks section.

jdfrye1966 - Be sure to remove the ph98img file from the root directory of your SD card after the update is done. This is covered in Nils' instructions, but can be missed.

Running a Nadroid backup of my Stock RUU now wit all the apps installed like I like.
Will install the rom today and give a shout out to all when I'm up and running.

I was alrerady to install the sence 4 NisP business rom but after all this re setting up my phone back to the way I had it on this stock ICS I'm gonna take a break and do the rom thing maybe next week or the week after. I'm just pooped and dont wanna get panicked like I always do when messing with my phone in this way. but I do have this information to look back on later.

SO Sorry for talking to myself but I cant help it!! I have the bug of messing with the phone. Thats why I waited so long to ROM..I knew it!! Now I'm sure it will be many roms and many hours changing roms and trying this and that..SO yeah I couldnt wait so now I'm installing NilsP Sence 4 business now..did my wipes in armon recovery like twolastnames advised and started the install...now in recovery i'm finding the file to install....WOw i see a touch screen with different options to select,,all straigh forward,,easy! .I'm at the screen now where it says that it will reboot to install the kernel for me since I'm s-on.....clicking finish to continue!!..went through the reboot and read instrucions and rebooting again per on screen instructions. watching business splash screen now with loading bar.....All booted up and setup screen now...Thanks all. time for testing and see if I find any bugs not mentioned

Did Nils five you free Hotspot in that ROM? I used his ROM on my old DInc ... liked thumbing my nose at Verizon with free Hotspot.

Up and running sence 4.0. Much nicer that 3.6 sence, added all my apps back and I have found no glitches as of yet. Gonna rock this a a bit..

When I read that I started laughing. Wait a week (ya right), maybe an hour hehe. I know cause I did the same thing. Glad you got her going. I am about to try Nils myself

it d be be better to re lock your bootloader and then flash the. 12 RUU again. You should be able to restore the nandroid afterwards

Why thank You sir! after reading that I headed over to Android Police and downloaded the Official RUU OTA and checked the md5 so I have it if and when I need it.
Cant think of anymore questions as of now
Used the Rom all day today without hitches.

I hope there will be a very stable & feature-packed Jelly Bean ROM by the time my warranty expires in Feb. I know the XDA guys are working on it.

Why thank You sir! after reading that I headed over to Android Police and downloaded the Official RUU OTA and checked the md5 so I have it if and when I need it.

I think it's gonna be a bit more work than that.

Im pretty sure the RUU will overwrite your recovery thus negating your ability to restore you're nandroid until you reinstall Amon Ra. The RUU also overwrites your internal sd card so you'll lose everything on there.

It would be a whole lot easier if you just extract the boot.img from the ROM you want to flash back to and push it with ADB.

Okay I get where you say extract boot image (actually in the stock ruu i downloaded its called boot_signed.img and I take a copy of that and put it in a easy to get to place on my computer) but how do you push with Android Debug Bridge?" Whats the steps?

Just like you did when you lock or unlock. Open command prompt, get to the directory where the boot.img is type in the command which I can never remember.
