Are there any verified, safe rooting options for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5? I'm seeing a range of concerns using APK's like iRoot. I've never tried rooting before, yet I am comfortable with technology.

Thanks to Verizon locking down the bootloader of their carrier minority variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5, G900V, there is only a 50/50 chance of you being able to root your phone, depending on its eMMC chip. See post #16 of Root for SM-G900V on 6.0.1
