Nervous about sticking with Sprint?

The bigger question here is..Why do you long for the fastest processors and highest resolution screen when your data speeds don't allow you to process the content? You can't even watch an HD youtube video without it stopping for 5 minutes to buffer..10 bucks more your run through that video like your on a Fios connection.

I have WiFi available almost everywhere I go. At home, at work, restaurants, the shopping mall, professional offices, essentially everywhere, covering about 90% of the time. The remaining 10% of 3G coverage averages about 1.5 Mbps, way more than enough speed to stream any audio or video. I'm in Atlanta and LTE has been announced to launch on July 15th. I use an HTC EVO 4G LTE and love the speed and amazing IPS screen. I find your apparent need to bash Sprint rather amusing.

I honestly wouldn't be. They still have a bunch of customers joining because unlimited.

I live near Detroit and our nearest Wimax area is 3 hours away. I live on 3G and there are days that it does load slow or drags. I found and app called Fresh Network, it basically resets the radio and connects to the best tower and that has fixed me pretty well. My thing is they are doing upgrades so that has helped degrade things but it is temporary, I'm usually got a pretty good connection, and home and other places are wifi.

My greatest thought is this, I'd rather have to wait a minute longer for an app if I have a slow connection than have to count my data every month.

I was a long time user of ATT since the late '90s and went through all the ups and down with them. Biggest issue for me is was the dropped calls, and considering how much I was paying, I didn't think it was worth the price.

2 years ago I decided to leave ATT and go to Sprint because I wanted a lower bill but also to jump on the Android bandwagon with the Evo 4G. In retrospect I believe I made the right decision because I rarely drop a call and Wimax was fairly fast.

I just re-upped with Sprint for another 2 years and am enjoying my 4G LTE. The issue of what carrier to go with is a difficult decision to make. Yes ATT and Verizon have mush faster speeds and better data coverage, the decision for me was "should I go to a faster network and blow through my monthly 2 or 4gb data package quickly OR stay with Sprint and know you'll have unlimited data and that hopefully LTE will be in my city (western 'burbs of Chicago) fairly soon.

Hindsight is always 20/20 and I think all Sprint customers who use Smartphones know that Sprint sticking with Wi-max was a bad move. They're at least attempting to do something about it, because if they don't they're dead in the water. Yes for some people who are heavy data users it will be a long an painful wait. I remember ATT customers going through the same thing when ATT was building out their LTE network. Me personally I get OK speeds depending where I am (at work I'm maxing out at about 1.5mbps at home around .50mbps).

I'm not trying to give Sprint a pass but for me their service has been good, CS has been great and a cheaper bill is always nice. I'm hoping Sprint makes good on it's plans because if not, me and a whole lot of other people will be gone.

My thoughts exactly. with all the ever growing things we can do with our smartphones I don't want to be looking at my data limit every hour on the hour just for caps
