yeah there's a page where you can enter your work email and all it says is i'm eligible for "UP TO 20%." i just called and they confirmed that it was 20%. needed to make sure before i ordered the phone.
Yeah mine got updated as well. I figure even if they don't ship on the weekend Wednesday the 21st is much better than the 28th.

It looks like it. My order said "shipping soon" this morning (Sat) then changed to "shipped" around noon with an updated delivery date of Monday 12/19 (original estimate was Tuesday). UPS must work weekends around the Holidays.

so when i order it, does my number get ported automatically from tmobile to verizon? or does it happen once i get the phone and do some activation thing?
As you go through the process, it gives you an option to port your number to the new phone. You do need your account number though.
Excerpt from Amazon Wireless: "When we process your number-porting request, your new wireless carrier will work with your current wireless carrier to close your current wireless account and transfer your current phone number to your new handset. To ensure uninterrupted service with your current wireless provider, we will not initiate the transfer request automatically. When you receive your phone, you will initiate your number transfer and service activation request based on instructions included with your shipment."

thanks guys, good to know i'll still have a phone to use in the meantime. just a little nervous about leaving tmobile after 10 years and since my whole family is with them if feels like i'm abandoning them LOL!
Same delivery date on mine when I purchased on the 15th. Mine shipped today though. Hopefully yours is also early.
Don't go by that date. That is system generated dates, so they can fluctuate, mine still said estimated date of 30th but it changed as soon as it shipped. So system thinks its backordered, but amazon has them in stock and shipping them at their own time, I think they don't want to deal with over selling them since this is a hot buy right now. They call it backordered and when they ship it the next day, we say wow.
ordered mine last night. still says not yet shipped. nervous about limited data, although not a heavy streamer.

Just checked my tracking number against UPS - it says it's due for delivery TOMORROW despite being shipped Saturday.

I couldn't pass up $149 even if I have to wait awhile, I doubt it will be 1-2 months. Big red here I come!
