New lg v20 specs leak suggests beastly performance

I was hoping for 3500 and thought it might be achievable being that the G5 is 2800 in a smaller phone, but if it's 3200 so be it.
That's still an improvement over the V10, and considering that the components will be more efficient, battery life should see a healthy improvement.

QC 3.0 and it being swappable are nice bonuses to have.

Exactly.... It's working well for me on the G5

4000 is low for QHD if u doing intensive gaming, LG don't have a track of good battery life at all, 3200mah would kill this phone immediately.

Especially if LCD, since is a 15% hit on SOT battery life compared to AMOLED. 4000 mah battery would offset being 500 mah less than Note 7. Then again, the Note 7 has a 1080p scaling feature that helps with gaming. 1440p seems overkill for gaming on a 5.7" device.

Agreed 3200 seems too small, but similar size on the MXPE.

Bigger would have been better, however since it's removable less of an issue... at least for me as I don't mine swapping out a battery.

Yeah battery is huge with me. So done with my Nexus 5 and 2300mAh battery lol. I know the Pixel XL is 3450mAh which I'm so excited about. So if the V20 is smaller than that, I'll just go with another Google phone. Will be happy with that. Just have to wait and see for tonight's announcement.

The LG G2 had phenomenal battery life. I would work from 6am to 8:15am and take a break. I'd use the phone for 15 minutes then go back to work and get off at 11am. The phone was still at 100% when I left. I got 7.5 hours of screen on time with it. That's 3 more hours than my Note 5 can muster.

Whether it's 3200 or 3450 won't matter much even if the DAC is a battery hog.

Will this model still make the top part of the screen inaccessible for video streaming etc?

The G2 is exception, as it had amazing battery life and was great phone, no doubt, but G3 and forward had awful battery life.

I had G4, never saw such awful battery life.

G3 and G4 got me about 3 hrs on SOT while gaming straight. Pretty good to me.

ummmmm....that's not what that drawing means. That's just a cutaway, revealing what's underneath.
Korean site said half the back comes off instead of the whole thing which is why it's not being considered a modular phone per say

I'm really wondering though if it takes more internal components to make a flagship than a budget phone. The LG X Power is smaller than the V10 in every dimension and has a 4000mAh battery. Why can't they put that in a bigger phone besides the reason that people might love it too much and not want to upgrade? But why not make a phone people want to keep for a long time anyway right?

Generally a higher clocked SoC means more heat that has to be managed; flagships tend to have more sensors and IIRC the LG X Power has a sealed battery, which allows for them to utilize better shapes and component arrangements.

Korean site saw the cutaway drawing and took it as a literal description of how the back worked.

Not true.
