Yep, in hindsight, that would have been the way to go. That was my first time creating a public doc for everybody to edit, so I went with what I was familiar with. On the plus side, some people made great contributions, like the charts, the conditional formatting, etc. I'm reluctant to make it a form now, there are over 170 rows and I doubt people will fill out another form again.

I think for those getting some kind of change in your account is a good thing. I would much rather have some kind of update then be back ordered with an email, and nothing else. I have a feeling I won't be getting mine for a while.

I think it's clear the tactic now for Google is to hold out and stall until Monday with the "in the window" line knowing they'll miss it. Then when people call to complain they'll string them along for another three days "it should go out by Wednesday." At that point they'll be up against the holiday and can use that as an excuse, buying them time to get additional inventory to solve the mess. My guess is a conservative estimate of when we'll see our devices is November 28-30.

Mine is still showing as pending with an order date of the 13th and an est ship date of the 15th. No emails ever and no changes ever. Called support last night and they said my order is fine and is not on BO, just hasn't shipped yet. Hope it's true because I am looking forward to this phone!

I dont think the order date changing to the 17th is a good thing. This could be a way for the system to put us last in line for shipment.

I was in limbo until this morning. My Play Store purchase page just changed to estimated shipping November 15th but no tracking# yet. I placed my order on November 13, 2012 8:36:45 AM UTC-8. Looks like the first batch of orders was not lost.

Mine also changed to the 17th, still says estimated delivery of the 15th. Also the pending charge dropped off my card, I did receive the back order email Wednesday.

Hmm... Apparently my order date for my N4 was changed from the 13th to "November 17, 2012" on the Google Play store orders list. Google wallet still shows the correct order date. Google Play still shows EST shipping date of the 15th. MORONS!

I went and checked and this happened to me as well. Order is now at top of list and switched to 11/17

I don't think is bad... If it's like you said then we have the 3-5 business again that put the order by Nov 23, instead of the 3 weeks ending on Dec 7... PS: i got my day change to 17 too...

I called google a little bit ago. I was told that my order was slightly delayed, but I should have my nexus Tuesday or Wednesday. So, we'll see....

That would be ideal. If it was a way for them to separate back orders from shipping Monday.
