Hi I hear good things about this new CM9, and looking for a step by step guide on installing it, would someone please point me in the right direction, I'm not good at these things and get confused easily, lets put it this way, it took me 5 hrs to figure out how to install home brew, yeah, I'm that stupid :(

I'm terrified in trying to install Android to my tablet, but this last WebOS update really pissed me off and like most people, are not happy that a lot of the homebrew stuff isn't working anymore. So I think it's time to go Android, I've used 2.1 before, but I have no clue on how to install it, and I'm afraid of bricking my tablet.

To get started read a few of the guides for installing CM7 and get yourself familiar with the procedure, It isn't the simplest installation and if you have a friend who can do it, thats probably a better way to go if your as bad with tech as you say.

Anyway once CM7 is installed then the path has been cleared for installing CM9 or any other ROM for that matter, it's the initial installation work that is a pain in the rear end.

Thanks for the reply, I'll look for the CM7 guide. Unfortunately all the good techies I know do not live near me and in other states. So I'm pretty much on my own, hopefully it won't be too painful, then again, after that last WebOS patch, I'm looking forward to Droid, less headaches with Droid =D

There is a good guide here on android central somewhere and if you google 'installing touchpad CM7' or something similar there will be loads of results. There are also quiet a few video's people have made showing what needs to be done, I always find having 2-3 different guides and a video is handy when it comes to actually doing something like this.

Anyways good luck with it !

Hi, I am in the same boat you are, thinking of putting android on my touchpad. Where's home for you, Wisconsin for me.
