Nexus 4 available for order in UK today

OK, my Nexus is on its way to me. Currently in TNT's Livingstone warehouse...

Costed me NASTY email to Google guys requesting someone LIVE to respond. I said I'm fed up of automated emails etc. I do not know if that is coincidence or they just wanted me to shut up but I got shipping confirmation 3-4 hours after I have send my email to them....


Update. After about 15 minutes from posting above I got TNT delivery - guess the content... Nexus 4 is with me...
 
got this from google at 1:30am, i'll be asking for a refund on delivery then! 19th is over 2 weeks!

After reading your post I decided to check on my order as well as I had also ordered a 16GB Nexus 4 and in (what appears as) the same boat as you: Basically, I got exactly the same email ie 19 December as a "should ship by evening of" date.

I used a debit card though, and the money is still "on hold"
 
I sent an email to the same contact webpage that you guys did (background info - order placed Dec 4th at around 17:09 purchase confirmation stated "Delivered in 3-5 business days") and I received this response.

"Hello Sam,

Thank you for contacting us.

As your order is not yet processed, I've forwarded your case to a specialist to begin working to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

In the meantime, if you come across any other information that you'd like to pass along, please feel free to reply to this email.

I've not seen this response yet in this thread, please correct me if i'm wrong. It doesn't seem all that positive though. I honestly expected to get the seemingly generic email of "it will ship by the 19th" or whatever but nope got this instead.
 
yep same here mate, i'm hoping that the recent docking of the largest container ship on Sunday in Southampton means we will have our delivery soon :)
 
My funds were released also so fingers crossed your right. The email I received in my previous post makes me wonder though.
 
First of all apologies about the double post.

But Ive got a small update (not good news):

I thought I would have a look under the "My Orders and Settings" on the bottom of the the play stores page. My Nexus 4 has now changed to a "pre-ordered" status.

Apparently this has been happening to quite a few people over at where I got the link to this site. One person actually said that its swapping every couple of minutes to pending to pre-ordered and back to pending, rinse, and recycle and repeat.

So I thought I would try the email support another go. Youve guessed it; same response, but date format different: "According to our records, your order should ship by the evening of December 19." Again, this email took seconds to arrive so I guess its automated.
 
yeah, mine is now saying pre-ordered so I have sent an e-mail. Still not happy that prior to ordering it estimated delivery of 1-2wks but when my receipt came through it had changed to 4-5wks
 
just had a reply stating estimated delivery being 5/1/2013. Sent an angry reply as I can't believe they changed the estimated delivery on my receipt when the order page showed 1-2wks. Probably won't get me anywhere but at least they now know the frustration they have caused
 
Was on the news but i have a mate who works at the gatehouse/weigh bridge he was telling me it had containers from China. South Korea & Japan to name just a few.

I'm giving them till the 19th then i'm cancelling.

appears i am not the only one this has happened to. my delivery estimate was 1-2 weeks on receipt and status has changed from pending to preorder.. anybody have any clues as to what this means.?
 
Mine has also just changed to pre order. I can only hope that it means it is on its way still no shipping notice from Google though going to check bank and report back on here soon.

Update
No charges to my account yet will have to wait and see now I guess.

Hello my UK friends. Just thought you'd like to know that I just got my shipping notification today in Canada. You guys were just after us, so I think some good news is coming soon!
