Nexus 4 Ordered on November 27: Order Status and Tracking

Well, I have 1-2 weeks on my order confirmation, my shipping notification came through 2 days later, my credit card has already been charged (on last month's statement, which I just had to pay), and the tracking number is still showing nothing useful.
 
Reading this thread is so embarrassing. I can't believe Google is putting so many loyal customers through this mess. and the worst part? They're putting them through it again. How did they not learn from the Nexus 7?

The paradigm shift from Apple to Google is significant; in fact, one could say there is little similarity between the two companies in terms of vision, mission, etc. What is clear, at least at this point is, Google is definitely not adopting Apple's usually good customer service experience. It is odd that a company, such as Google, which espouses so much openness and freedom are so opaque when it comes to customer service.

i can't help but to pass something along that I read on the xda forums. "Let's face it. If this was (old) Apple, Steve Jobs would be walking down the hallways with a flamethrower."

Thanks. What's the address that you put for ship from?

I just put in Google's Mountain View address from my receipt and was able to produce a trace as well. It shows a trace to the closest UPS facility, so its either there, or they are working backwards.
 
Just checked my tracking and it's now showing an "in transit", 2nd day air, from KY as well.......progress!

Assuming that it is "in transit", does that mean you will get your phone by tomorrow or friday? 2nd day air...does today count as a business day?
 
If i remember correctly Google generated the shipping email but UPS never updated the tracking information until it actually arrived. I think it took the two or three business days once i received the shipping email from Google.

I just remember being shocked that it arrived and there was never any updates on ups tracking.

i guess one way to look at it is we will all have a nice surprise as we are driving home one day and see that package in front of the door.
 
So curiosity got the best of me, and while I am here having lunch I decided to call Google for an update.

Basically, the rep stated that the shipping notice was "possibly" sent out too soon and it could have been an error (in not so many words). He said he cannot confirm if an error was made or not but he did confirm that I did receive a shipping confirmation without UPS actually having the device in hand yet. He says that as soon as UPS has my device, they will scan it for the first time and the tracking will be updated in their system.

He said that I need to rely on the original 1-2 week estimate and that I am guaranteed to have it before 12/11/12 which would fall in line with the original 1-2 week estimate.

Guess I will have to just sit back and wait a bit more :)

its funny how the Google reps are all saying different things to us lol. They probably don't know sh** and have to deal with tons of angry/confused customers. Honestly, it would suck to be in their shoes right now.
 
What would you think if the 2-3 week people get their phone in 2 days from now but the 1-2 week people wind up waiting longer? All that battling it out in the google store on the 27th for nothing!!! :mad:

LOL. My 'battling' began with me refreshing the play store 30 min ahead (periodically not obsessively) of the supposed launch time. The obsessive refreshing started at launch time, when I had 2 browsers open (with multiple tabs) with add-ons to monitor the page for any changes. Additionally, I had my SGS1 in hand and was refreshing while waiting for the computer to refresh. I finally got in order in at 3:57, so 57 mins of hell!

In all seriousness, it sucks that some 1-2 weekers that got nothing yet........ All you can do it ask for a shipping refund.

Personally I'm not a big fan of resellerratings as the subscribing companies can remove negative reviews. Newegg does this all the time.

I am asking for a refund on the shipping fee as soon as I get it. I am too afraid that they may accidentally refund my phone, too, at this point. Jus' sayin'. ;-)
 
I'm in the same boat. 1-2 weeker with no updates to tracking. Any thoughts on the best way to request shipping refunds?

The same happened here.. I was in the "2-3 weeks" waiting period, however, this morning I got the shipping email:

Don't bother complaining. I ordered on November 13th and have yet to receive a shipping notification at all. I Called to ask what was going on and i get "We are aware of a situation and we're trying to work it out". That's been the same answer for a week and a half now. I tried cancelling my order all together and I get "Since you ordered on November 13th, you can't cancel your order..." junk.

So essentially, I can't get a phone shipped and can't get my order cancelled either. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau last night. That's just ridiculous, in my opinion. This whole debacle has quickly left "miserable" and arrived at "down-right despicable".
 
ugh 2-3 weeker here with no email and the money from my purchase went back into my account and today they took it right back out cmon google either u want ur money or not because i surely want my phone and a free bumper.
 
I was in the 2-3 week shipping bracket (ordered around 6:15PM). I received shipping notification around 1AM this morning. As of right now, it shows in transit from KY. Probably arrives friday.
