Nexus 4 Ordered on November 27: Order Status and Tracking

Hmm to skip the gym and head straight home to wait for the package.. Or go to the gym, because from what everyone is saying, it wont arrive today...

If your status is the same as mine the Choice email also says: Delivery Commitment: by End of Day UPS Service: UPS 2nd Day Air

which to me means 2nd day Air should arrive today... and if not, we should be getting a shipping refund just like the first wave of N4 buyers!

Small consolation, I know.

doubt google would do it since they committed to having it delivered "within 1-2 weeks". probably did that to cover their a*%$s lol but still worth trying

i agree with you but then why did google send emails saying our orders have been shipped? wtf.... no updates on my tracking status still

Yeah if anything, Google bought the shipping labels in a mass quantity first so they could charge us on our cards to get the cash to keep up with demands/supplies for future nexus 4's shipping in the upcoming weeks.
But i am definitely asking for a shipping refund tomorrow if it doesn't have a status update.

same. are you just going to email google play or...?

It's pretty amazing that Google has made every single step of this process excruciating.
And I become more and more convinced that right now UPS is to blame for lack of information. Why would logging in add Schedule Delivery date? How can UPS know the Scheduled Delivery date, if it didn't receive the package at its facility yet? How can UPS promise to deliver today, if they don't know where the package is right now? And if they do know, why don't they show it in the tracking info page, as usual? I'm not looking for answers here. But I see only one logical explanation that answers all of them - that Google did its part and UPS is still days behind in updating their info.
Here's to hoping that the delivery be on time!

They do say that they won't remove the funds from your account until your item has shipped. Once the funds have been deducted, it makes sense to me that the clock starts ticking. Otherwise, why charge for 2nd day, when it really takes 5+ days from the alleged time of shipping?

Just checked my orders from google play. According to Google, phone was shipped on the 30th... Hmm wondering if it will arrive today.

My brief discussion with a UPS operator said that the expected delivery date on my account was an assumption based off of the creation of the shipping label...These assumed that it would have been two days since then since the package should have been shipped asap if it has 2 day shipping. All speculation, I'm not really blame anyone. Just eager.

That "1-2 weeks" was not a commitment, but an estimation. What they did commit to was 2-Day shipping, and not charging until the order has shipped. According to the UPS tracking, it appears that Google made good on the 2-Day shipping. But it doesn't appear that they made good on not charging until the order has shipped. We were all charged last week, but UPS has yet to receive the phones, so they definitely have not been shipped.

I still haven't been officially charged for the phone yet. It took the money out the day I purchased it, but since then it's been returned to me. I check my account every hour or so and not even something pending. I'm thinking my 2-day wait won't start until the money is pulled from my account.

i agree with you but i am just skeptical that they will refund it but hey who knows. im still going to try if i dont have it by end of the day tomorrow.

i dont think it was a real charge since my statement (and would assume other peoples too) just had a "pending" transaction. I think they do that just to see if your account is real and has sufficient balance and what not (just guessing though, remember talking to a bank CSR about an unrelated "pending" transaction). my balance was refunded the $380 and would assume they are going to actually deduct it when it ships. were you refunded? but yea, by the looks of it it hasn't shipped and i really dont think it will come today or tomorrow.

I just checked my bank account.. The charge from 11/27 did drop... but I now have the charge showing as pending on my bank account for 2/03 (today) I don't know if that means I will be getting my device soon, but the google wallet status has not changed at all.

I got the email saying it got shipped on the 30th but I just checked my bank statement and the $390 charge is gone. I was already charged but it seems like google refunded it. That means the device has not been shipped even though I got the tracking #. :(

I am fully aware of the difference between an authorization and a charge. The charge has been fully posted on my credit card.

so friday would mean the first business day right? which would mean theoretically should have it by monday (today)? correct me if im wrong

Well as I understand 2nd Day Air, 2 business days would be Tuesday as most shippers do not count the day of shipment as day 1.
