Nexus 4 Ordered on November 27: Order Status and Tracking

Whoop!!! UPS finally updated, will be at my house today! What happened to waiting for the item in the warehouse?? Hmm...

Yeah! My YBOD disappeared (got shipping email on 11/30 in the evening) and UPS now says out for delivery today!

I tend to blame UPS for this one. My UPS tracking went straight from YBOD to "Out for Delivery" overnight... including a trip from Addison, IL to Milan, IL (261 miles) in just six minutes. Either UPS screwed it up, or they have a crazy fast delivery system!

UPS has warp travel now. Can ship something to another state in a matter of seconds...

And (just wanted to point this out) I will not be asking for a shipping refund because, to my understanding, this is the 2nd day. My account was officially charged on Tuesday, so today would technically make the second day, regardless of when it said it shipped. Google said they wouldn't charge me until it shipped. So, yeah.

While I'm not in dire need of the N4, I'd like to know that what I've preordered is actually going to ship sometime. I'm in the 2-3 week window, and have received nothing from Google, and my order still says "pending" in Google play. I guess it's not as bad as some of the 11/3 people still waiting, but this still seems like a very disorganized launch by Google. Wishing they could have just shipped these out to retailers like Best Buy, and let us buy them there, but I'm sure the price would have increased. There's no doubt in my mind that this was definitely a preorder, and not an outright buy, because I don't know that anyone here has received an immediate shipment on this device.
You realize that the 2-3 week window has just started, right?
Google was not trying to fool anyone saying this was an outright buy. If it was, it wouldn't quote you with a 2-3 week wait. Where is the confusion?

Happy happy joy joy. woke up this morning to find an email from Google Playsaying ordered shipped. I ordered on the 27th at about 6:30 pm and one of those 2-3 week waiters.

UPS showing the YBOD but that's cool... I actually thought it was going to be closer to the 3 week time period than 2. Looking forward to it.

1-2 weeker with YBOD no more. Out for delivery this morning! Really interesting to follow this process. Strike ended and phones arrived? Coincidence?

I understand, and I'm not at all mad at Google(or anyone for that matter), just a little excited to get my device like everyone else is all :P Seeing everyones shipping notifications just has me excited. I stand by my earlier statements in that a near Christmas delivery for me would be perfect! :D

I went from YBOD to super fast delivery! The damn thing left Louisville just a few hours ago! LOL

Believe me, you're not the only one in the same boat. I have not received any word yet on when I will obtain my device. Google has until December 18th to ship my device if they want to keep their promise. So until then, it makes me a little sad that it feels as though everyone but myself is getting the device, but I'm not going to stress about it.

Now this is thread is almost done, a new thread will soon start about the N4 problems.

Not done yet, there are some of us still patiently waiting :P Someone else said even some first launch orders haven't even shipped? Wow, I hope that's not true.

Yup, I woke up to find that my 1-2 YBoD 16 gig is out for delivery today as well....

Same here it is like they suddenly realized that that they had packages that weren't delivered and sent them out supersonic :)

I still want a refund too and will be calling google again about it. I just called today earlier and asked where my device was and if I could get a refund. They passed my request onto a specialist. If I don't here back from them in tomorrow I am going to call back and ask again for a refund on the shipping. I paid for 2 day shipping and that is what I expect. Anytime something does not arrive 2 day when that service is paid for, the company you are buying your merchandise from typically refunds it. Google should do the same.

That's pretty ridiculous. You clicked "buy" with a "ships in 1-2 weeks" notice on it -- everyone in here did. Google mass-processes the orders, creating shipping labels all at once. Obviously, UPS didn't have the phones yet, and Google was busy processing the order. I wouldn't be surprised if they just had a convoy of trucks to take them to UPS in one shot. Once UPS has them, we get NEXT DAY shipping, and you're complaining? My phone will be here less than 24 hours after UPS had it -- and I'm sure it's because Google paid more to do it.

I know we're all frustrated here, but you don't have a leg to stand on unless you got your 1-2 week phone AFTER 12/13. We all knew this was going to be a circus based on how the first run of phones went out the door. Did anyone actually expect a normal experience with this purchase after that? We're all here because we want this amazing phone and we want to break free from the contracts while saving money.

Google will surely work to correct this in the future. They still make the best OS and host the best services on the Web, and we will all continue to patronize them. To get all huffy because they printed their labels before UPS had the phones is silly. We're all anxious, but nobody has paid for any service that wasn't provided, in fact, we all got a service upgrade that costs more than 2X, out of Google's pocket. Line that up next to my 2GB of free email and amazing search results for the last 6 years.

On vehicle to be delivered today between 12:15-4:15. Happy dance!! Can't freaking wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is similar to mine. My YBOD disappeared finally and was replaced with tracking info showing it leaving Louisville at 4:00 AM this morning, arriving at 5:41 AM, and now out for delivery here in Austin (and still labeled 2-day shipping). Well within the realm of possibility, but I'm used to UPS deliveries going through Mesquite (up near Dallas) first. I would love to know why us 11/30 "shippers" were yanked around so much, but I doubt we'll ever find out. I'm going to look into getting a shipping refund since my card was charged on the 30th and yet the phone doesn't appear to have shipped until this morning just after midnight (origin scan @ 12:25 AM).

Thank god this silly drama is almost over, though. I've wasted far too much time stressing out over it this week, all because of a shipping email that came far faster than I expected. :p
