I won't be doing that since there isn't too much going on with the update.

Yep it is mainly some emoji changes and the December security patch.

Nope. Pure Nexus so updates will be from Google, not your carrier.

Got the ota today. People keep saying updates will be delayed with some carrier sims but I've gotten both with my at&t sim.

I thought Nexus and Project Fi got first dibbs. lol

Got my update about 3 hours ago. Installed with no issues and everything is working fine. I'm on Verizon.

Yeah they like to do them in batches. My guess? Android updates can go over mobile networks so maybe they are trying to be nice to carriers. Apple forces WiFi no matter how big (or small) the update is.
