The Nexus S 4g is smaller than the Epic 4g. I have both Epic 4g and Evo on my desk right now and clearly the Evo is wider than the Epic which is why its a pain to hold or even do one handed texting hence why I'm getting the Nexus as I have no need for the Epic's keyboard. Actually I find the springyness of the keyboard REALLY annoying when powering on/off the device or turning the screen off/on.
So no the EVO and Nexus are not the same width or size at all.
In fact the poster above has exact sizes:
Evo 4G:
4.80 x 2.60 x 0.50
EVO 3D:
5.00 x 2.60 x 0.47 (127 x 66 x 12 mm)
Nexus S 4G:
4.88 x 2.48 x 0.43
Epic 4g:
4.90 x 2.54 x 0.56
Size wise Evo 3D > Evo 4g > Epic 4G > Nexus S 4G
Just for fun:
Evo SHIFT: 4.62 x 2.37 x 0.62
Optimus S: 4.47 x 2.32 x 0.52
On a side note, if you want dual core you have to ask yourself what apps really need dual-core and when will it be supported in the OS as currently only Honeycomb supports dual core. Do you really need Angry birds to go faster than what the evo does right now.... not really. Just like it taken over a year for tablets to mature (still hasn't) the dual core concept will take another year or so to be standard or even necessary
