No Google Wallet?

Installed fine, but when I launch it I get a message that the app isn't supported on my device or mobile network. Ugh.

It is not supported on your mobile network (AT&T.) That is not to say there is no way to get it to work but you may need to hold out until someone modifies the apk or something. The not supported on my device message is technically true (for now at least) but somehow it is still working for some including me.

No that's exactly it, this Wallet thing is all over the place it seems, some can install included version, some can install older apk, some can't do either....wierd....

I have also tried both versions, Rebooting before and after each install, and clearing Cache.

Android newb here.... Question. Isn't it a bit dangerous to install a program like this from an alternate source? Especially one that is used to make purchases. Is it somehow signed by Google and that is verified during install?

Hmm, if the device check is hacked out, I don't see how it could be signed... and what else could be hacked in?

The one I posted is just an older version, my play store recognizes it as installed just says I need to update...Don't think anything has been hacked out, I'm on sprint so I'm not trying to authorize on a blocked network

I was able to get Wallet all set up on my one but i haven't had a chance to try it out and make sure that it works or not. I'll post back when I have anything to report.

How did you get it to work? Did you use different steps then what has been posted?

Working well here. On Sprint and I did not do anything in particular. I downloaded Wallet from the play store the day I got the phone - 19th. It would not work and said not supported, hence this thread. Then, when some one said that it works, just opened the app and it hooked right up.

Well mine finally started working. Went in and cleared play store data and restarted the phone. As soon as the phone came back up I opened the Wallet app and there it was. Not sure what made it work but it is working now.

I tried that and still can't update to current version, still says not compatible.....lol

I downloaded Google Wallet from Day 1 of having my Sprint HTC One and last night it finally decided to work. I went through all the setup steps and going to try and use it tonight. It seems everything is working find on the support end so I suggest you all that are having problems to Uninstall previous versions, restart your phone and clear all cache in play store before downloading again.

Are you on Sprint too?

I'm not really seeing a reason why it all of a sudden started working, I'm fairly certain I didn't download an update to Wallet. Perhaps this has something to do with your actual Google Play account assigning permissions hence why alvin319's started working after clearing data. Try a force close on play store, clear data, restart, open play store then try Wallet again.

It's an intermittent thing, working for some not for others.....wonder if it's a rolling change like the new version of the app store was? I didn't get it till last day with Evo before I traded it in for my One lol

What I also did on top of clearing the cache from the store is clear the cache from the two browsers I had used to side load the wallet (using Sprint HTC One). Somehow I believe there is a trace evidence of the app lingering on your phone to which when it is opened it will be utilizing this trace artifact. So try clearing cache, restart phone, and then I would recommend using stock browser to side load the latest google wallet apk link on this thread. Good luck to those that don't have it working yet on their Sprint One, but it may just be what vbock said with the rolling change.

I used my Google drive app to load, didn't use browser....so maybe? I loaded it to my google drive on my computer, then went into google drive app on phone to download....
