Thanks bizz, this one worked like a charm. Though i did need to delete the wallet app prior, then restart phone, clear cache from both chrome and store, but in the end decided to use stock browser and now I get to use my phone as a wallet.

IMO this should be illegal. If the two business were in a B&M store next to each other there is no way ATT could put a fence around or block you from going to the other store. It would be like selling me a pair of shoes and telling me I can't go to the store next door to buy shoe laces because I bought the shoes at their store.

I know that we all sign contracts to use these phones. I also know a lot of what they put in those contracts are illegal. Much like Microsoft telling you you can't put an OS you paid for on another system if you remove it from the first system. It's not illegal even if you agree to that when installing. Due to technology now they can still make it impossible for you to do and good luck suing for that right.

Didn't Microsoft get sued/fined - not for preventing the use of a competing browser - but simply for shipping Windows with their own browser installed and not offering the user a choice at setup time? This goes beyond that.

Try the link I posted it has the device check disabled.
And it should be illegal for att and Verizon to block wallet but they do and no-one has stepped up and challenged them on this so here we are with an excellent utility that only a few people can use

Once it is downloaded you should see download complete in notification bar. Click in the notification and it will give you an option to install. That's it.

with the version I posted, you have to uninstall from your phone first, then to make sure I went on wallet website and unauthorized my previous phone, then installed apk and it set up and is working...It does show in the play store that it needs to be updated but won't let you update because it says incompatible when you try

I though this phone did not have NFC due to the aluminum body. If you could not use it at the NFC payment stations what would you use Google Wallet for?
