All I'm trying to do is to use the 32 GB on my SD card to store apps. I'm basically out of space in the phone. I've been searching these forums for days.

I know that some apps can't be moved.
I know that the "Move to SD card" function only works if the app developer enabled this.
I know how to and have installed the android SDK on my PC
I can use the adb
I understand basic linux commands
I have tried Gingersnap rooter
I have tried the RATC exploit
Gingersnap says it's rebooting the phone, but it never does.
"su" is permission denied
adb pm setInstallLocation 2 returns a killed message

None of this stuff works. I had great hopes for RATC, but I never get the # prompt in the adb

I'm ready to buy an iPhone. I'm sure all the Apple geeks have their 4s for sale on e-Bay.

What to do???

The zvj baseband and software version is not root able that way. You must revert to a previous version, root that first.

Ratc only works for gingerbread on the viper oddly enough as fat as i know follow the above.

Please try reading the extensive guides on this site before asking for help with exploits that we do not recommend or have not tested. hlxanthus pointed you in the proper direction; give that a shot.

If you decide to defect, good luck using your SD card with an iPhone. Lots of folks would probably like to be able to pull that off.
