Nookie Foryo Root Question: Do Read to Me books work?

My wife is thinking about letting me root her nook color, but 1 issue is that the Nook app on my Evo doesn't play nice with "read to me" books, which our three year old daughter loves. My question is do read to me books still work on an NC rooted with nookie froyo? Thanks.

I left stock untouched and run Nookie Froyo, HC and CM7 all from SD cards. When I want to read with the grandchildren, I just pop out the card and I am back to stock and read to me stories.

Unfortunately if you change from the stock ROM then no. You have to run it the way techienana said to be able to go back to the stock B&N ROM. I have heard that if you simply root the device and don't change the stock ROM that you keep all the original B&N stuff but get access to the Android Market and a few more things. The problem with running the ROM from the microSD is that the OS speed will lag since it isn't as fast as the built-in HDD. Maybe after B&N releases the new ROM update it will get better.
