New to smartphones....when I turn on mobile data when moving like on a bus it drains the battery fast. Like 10% every 20-30 minutes.is this normal? Also the signal is constantly switching from 3G to H...like every 2-3 seconds. The strength bar is constantly fluctuating also. I understand I'm moving 50-60 mph but it seems like the signal should be more constant.

If your signal is constantly changing from 3G to H, then it sounds like you've got an app trying to access the network. The phone should only switch over to H (HSPA) when it needs to, such as when you open your web browser or Google Maps is updating during navigation. What apps do you have on during that time? Music streaming? Maps? Try disabling Google location services (in the settings) and see if that helps.

Sorry but like others have said I'm not going to cripple the phone. Are others with location services on having this issue. Even at my house it constantly switches between 3 g and h. This is with no apps running. I swipe them all off.

Thats odd. If ur cell reception is bad, it drains more battrry trying to locate a better signal. Turn off ur data whn ur phone is asleep

My phone does not have any services disabled to cripple the basic functions and I do not have the constant 3g to H switch when idle. You definitely have something trying to access data in the background. Read through some of the battery life threads on here and get some tips... such as: logging in to the various native Gapps at least one time, disable unnecessary auto-updates from some apps, etc etc...
