Note 10/+ gripes

I do miss the LED notification light. I am playing around with edge lighting and AOD for notifications. But I fear screen burn if I keep the AOD on all the time.

The most annoying this for me is that when the phone is plugged into the charger, the green battery icon along with the words 100% fully charged NEVER go away. Yes, thanks for letting me know the phone is fully charged, but I don't need that on there ALL the time when the phone is plugged in. I have tried every trick to make it go away, but I have given up.

LED Me Know works great, I use it every day. And personally I don't worry about the screen burn-in with the app because it's an AMOLED screen, so when it's black, the screen doesn't even light up. Definitely the best LED replacement app.

LED Me Know doesn't stop, it continues to blink until you dismiss the notification. And it has a lot of features, it's pretty good.

Nikon? Pffft! Canon is king dammit! :P

lol don't get me started. I began my dslr journey with a rebel back when and a macro lens. I love that lens. moved on to Nikon and have several great lenses there too. went back to the rebel after a very short time and it was dead, and not the battery. I'm still very sad. I keep looking at Canons because the lens is their big macro lens and it takes amazing pictures. I need something lighter than my big dog Nikon and a new Canon could fit that need.

Moved from Nikon to Sony mirrorless. Can't be happier.

Thanks! I will check that out. So far, I have had mixed success with notifications. When I have the AOD on "always on" I do see icons for emails, texts, etc. However, even though I have edge lighting "on" and have checked off the glitter effect for a "long" notification, I have never actually seen it come one. Maybe AOD cancels out edge lighting? Any who...I will check out that app.

I'm not an Apple fangirl, but my XS Max takes action shots well. I have a s10plus and swap back and forth between it and my XSMax. I'm not very happy with my pics from the s10plus, they seem overexposed and blurry.
Sorry I missed your reply to me :(
I say that because all my phones are same in that regards to fast moving objects ...I also have the iPhone x.

I have one of those too, an old film camera. I also have the Yashica FX-3 that my parents gave me when I graduated high school. Both are still in perfect working order.

I have an old Nikon FE and a really old Kodak box camera that belonged to my mom.

My daughter will inherit them. She knows how to use them. I also have an old Polaroid. My dad gave it to me; it was made sometime in the '60s. It still works, I just can find any film cartridges for it.

my son will as well, and if he wants to know how to use them he will learn

posted asking for help but no answer so here are two gripes...

1. on my Note 8 I have an option to have the display settings on my notification panel and to have it at the top or bottom of the panel. not finding that now. has that ability been taken away?

2. I prefer the swipe up navigation bar but cannot figure out how to "go back" to the previous screen unless the app offers that option. how do I move backward once I'm in a secondary screen. thanks.

Is this what you are talking about?

yes. and I don't have that screen access when I go to brightness. all I have is a place to adjust brightness. I have an unlocked device. is that why?

and I have my navigation bar setup exactly that way, except for the gesture hints, and when I'm in an app, as mentioned, if there is no navigation arrow in the app itself, or the screen in settings, I have no way to go back. is there a way I don't know about? thanks for the help!

My biggest gripe is that the screen is curved, would've loved a flat display. Also miss having the fP S on the back for the swipe down gesture for notifications.
