Note 10+ Signal Issues - Samsung refuses to replace

Not sure about Google, but that's not how Apple does it anymore exactly. Apple gets a credit card number and puts a hold on the credit card. Then they ship a new one out and remove the hold when they receive the loaner back. I know b/c I've done it before.

Google does the same but its normal. Samsung is being stupid, I bet the only reason they do it is to limit the replacements by screwing customers

My note 10+ for sure doesn't get as good a signal as my s10e. Both are Verizon carrier branded phones.

I've already returned my girlfriends ATT note 10 plus due to having a lot of dropped calls compared to her note 9.

What gets me is the 10+ is huge compared to the s10e , yet with all that antenna it still gets lower signal.

It's pretty disappointing.
It's like were back in the S3 days of poor Samsung signal. Ever since the note 4 I've gotten great service from my Samsung stuff but now I'm leery.

Thanks! That was exactly my point to Samsung. Just send me a replacement and charge my account if you don't receive the phone back in 14 days. How hard is that? They have already wasted several hours of my time. How about a little customer service for a 3 week old device??!!

They should do that, hopefully they will soon. Apple and google do it, no reason for them not to except for Digital river who runs their logistics in the U.S.

Update: Oddly enough, since the factory reset 2 hours ago, I have not lost my 4G signal..It's actually running pretty similar db numbers to my wife's S8..crazy if a factory reset fixes my issue. I am about to go drive around and see if it will continue to hold the signal. Crossing my fingers!

Well so much for the factory reset, that didn't do it. As soon as I opened the garage I was in 3G. Drove all around and never got out of 3G. Brought the wife's S8 and she was in the -90's on LTE while I was parked on 4G. Just unreal. Samsung needs to get their head out of their *** and do something. Really losing my loyalty that survived the Note 7.

Put your wife's sim in your phone , same results?

I hope it's not turning out to be like s10 series scenario on Sprint and Verizon. Some folks had their motherboards replaced for the fix.

Another day goes by in 3G and 1X with Verizon calling to follow up and I get the voicemail, but no call in history. Text messages taking 20 minutes. My 3G SpeedTest was a whopping 1mb down and .12 mbs up. I hate Samsung more than I can describe. I just spent $1,500 on a Soundbar and 65" Tv this week as well...Never again. I called back again just now and was told my escalation ticket will take 3 to 5 days to get a response and that the only option they can offer me is to expedite the Texas Repair Center from 14 days to 11!! ..I called to dispute the charge with credit card company and they said they can't dispute the charge with the phone in my possession. ..Think I will just pick up a used phone and say goodbye to Samsung. Had the S3 all the way to this Note 10 Plus...Have a whole kitchen appliance package too. Just beyond frustrating that they don't give a ****.

Samsung screwed me over with a refrigerator a couple years back, chin up.

have you tried to email the CEO office?
you will find the email on the website.
it worked for me when I had a problem with the 1st Note 8 I bought

You can take them to court if you opted out of arbitration (may still be time to opt out if you haven't yet).

Yes, I emailed chrisk@sea.samsung.com; m.lawder@sea.samsung.com. Both over Customer Experience for Samsung N.A. They have opened the message about a dozen times, but still no one has replied.

I tried my wife's Xfinity Mobile SIM last night for comparison. ((Essentially Verizon) Immediately went into 3G on bootup while her S8 holds a -104 4G LTE signal and has not went to 3G, ever.

Couple interesting notes. On Signal Check Pro we rarely show we are using the same towers. She tends to be on LTE 1900 a lot and I seem to be on LTE 700 when I can get a 4G signal. I really feel it is not using all of the towers or not switching correctly. I just drove to the office in a highly populated area and stayed on 3G almost until I was at my office. Now I am holding a beautiful B13 -75db LTE signal...But as soon as I leave, I will fall back to 3G.

I have been with tmobile for 10 years now and they are great in southern California. I occasionally buy factory unlocked devices and honestly this note 10 plus is by far the worst phone I've owned in years for reception. This thing drops calls like crazy!! In areas I work where I've never had an issue. I have tried new sim cards network resets and wiping the phone and starting over numerous times. Nothing gets better. Sadly I'm beyond my return period but I'm definitely going to eat my losses and get something else. This phone is great but the radios or software issue are trash. I could load the carrier firmware but honestly we shouldn't have to do that. I think it's pretty unacceptable in 2019 this is still an issue with some devices and samsung releases a device that cost what these phones cost with a major radio or software issue. Dont even get me started on the constant sent message failures that I deal with daily lol.

I doubt loading the carrier firmware would help , I returned mine today and it was a Verizon model . It always lost signal before my s10e sitting right beside it both on Verizon .

I really hope it's software related for all the people that can't return .

My girlfriend had the unlocked model on att , we didn't even chance it , as soon as it started dropping calls in places where her note 9 worked fine we immediately sent it back .

As big as the phone is it's crazy that it won't get as strong a signal as the s10e .

I had nothing but trouble with Samsung when I had a defective microphone on my S3 after 2 months. In the end they refused to fix it and I had to get another phone. It wasn't a Samsung. I haven't owned a new Samsung since that time. I went onto iPhone 4s and then windows Phones after that. Now I am using a Pixel 2XL and had zero issues in nearly 2 years.
Oh and I live in the UK.

This might help the guys with signal problems, Samsung had released a small update to help with call stability, I got this this morning in the UK on my 4G unlocked note plus. 20190914_131018.jpeg

I am now on my second N10P which neither have played well on sprint, my wifes iphone works great but the note wont load video, speed tests max out around 500Kbps vs my wifes 25-30 Mbps. Getting run around from sprint at this point
