So, I really like to keep my phones in perfect condition, and I would like to get a Galaxy Note 4 and apply a tempered glass screen protector to it, however, doing so will effectively raise my screen up slighty due to the thickness of the glass. Will this hinder my use of the fingerprint functions?

Doesn't the glass make the button too recessed to use with the fingerprint functions?

I have used the S5 with tempered Glas and the iphone 5s which I am trading in for a Note 4. Fortunately the way Samsung implements the security is you start your finger swipe from the screen down onto the sensor which is a two part method.

My wife has a Galaxy S4, and I got her a glass screen protector. In order for her to be able to access the home button I got her a button cover. This would obviously not work with the fingerprint function. I am hopeful I will be able to access the home button with the glass screen protector.

Trust me it works the same. No better no worse. I have it on my s5 and the scanner is just as weak sauce as it was before I added the protector.

But, can you press the home button easily with the thick glass screen protector?
