I've had the note 4 since friday, i was able to play 1080p video and 1440p video, now for some reason i can't play a youtube video above 720p that's the highest res option it will give me. I've deleted cache, uninstalled updates, and reinstalled them but no luck. anyone else have this problem?

i was wondering if it was a internet speed problem. ( i get about 30mbs)
but i do remember playing a 1080p video on regular network speed which was way lower.(sprint)

If someone can correct this problem let me know.

They haven't been showing up in my youtube app for at least 1-2 months. Google must be having issues when the higher resolution playback is enabled.

It'd a Google issue. Mine disappeared to. I am guessing we will see an update in the future to fix it.

Yes i hope so, are you having a gmail app issue? Some of my mail wont come but it will come in the generic email app.

Clear the data in the you tube app and 1080 will come back.

How do you check this to see what res you are getting?

Re: 1080p and 1440p play option on youtube

Look at this other thread and try what is suggested almost at the end, where it tells you step by step, this comes from a Galaxy Tab S thread, but the same happened to me last week with my Brand New Xperia Z3, and doing this (plus other little things on the Z3) fixed it.

In my Galaxy Tab S, every time we have a YouTube update we lose this, and we need to do the same, again, at least with the Z3 after last week update it kept working. It's obviously an App bug but there has been a couple of months with the issue already and no signs on fixing it.
