If I had the money I'd jump to a iPhone 6s real quick! Tired of this POS phone and it's battery!!! All I do with it is charge, charge, and charge it!!!!!

That's exactly what I did. I got rid of this POS and got an iPhone 6s Plus. Battery life is back to amazing again.

My main priority with battery life is standby time. Even though I carry my phone with me at work, I don't get much chance to use it, so standby time is really important to me. Standby time on my Note 5 is horrible. I tried all the tricks to help battery life, but nothing really worked. Then I came to the conclusion that I was so sick and tired of trying to tweak things to get good battery life.

For example, on my 6s Plus. After 2 days of light use and mainly standby time, I am usually down to around 65% to 70%. My Note 5 with the same usage probably be dead. For the week, I could get by with charging my 6s Plus twice, and that is without the battery going all the way to 0. I know some people may balk at what I'm saying, but standby time is important to me.

I've used almost all the iPhones since they came out, and have used a lot of Android phones also. Even though I much prefer iPhones and iOS, I'll still buy an Android phone when ones comes along and catches my eye, just as I did for the Note 5. But every time I get an Android phone, I love it for a few months, then something starts acting up that reminds me of why I like iPhones better.

The Note 5 is a really nice phone, but has horrible battery management. More than likely software related and not hardware. I still have my Verizon Note 5, which is my work phone, so I can still use that to get my Android fix.

If you don't have the money for a new iPhone, go to order one on Apple's website with in-store pickup, and when at the pay part, sign up for PayPal credit. As long as you don't have really bad credit, it should get approved. Then just pay for it monthly. I think they even have 0% interest if paid off within 6 months.

Is it better to turn off or just Uninstall it?

For me I have turned it off. IF you Uninstall it, it could mess up your device. So be cautious. Anyway, battery is much better. Even when I have, like 1-2 signal bars at work , I still had plenty of battery left for the drive home. It is 8:35 p.m. right now and phone is sitting on 18% from medium use.

I'm very impressed with this phones battery . I took it of charger at 7am. Turned on my runkeeper to GPS my run, the Bluetooth headphones and pandra Sametime as I ran for an 1.5 hour. I continued to you the phone for the rest of the day. Sending emails texts and writing docs for work. It's now 9 at night 40% left and almost 4 hours SOT. This phone is a beast. Really put it through its paces tonight and it has passed with flying colors. Was on call for work tonight from 5pm-5am.

Unplugged at approximately midnight and have been on it just about non stop. Watched a movie, an episode of Shameless, browsed YouTube, Android Central, played a little music in addition to texting and emailing and I'm over 6hrs of SOT. I don't think I ever got close to that on my note 3 or 4 regardless of how light or heavy my usage was.

Sent from my Galaxy Note 5 😎😎

This is just silly. The Note 5 and the iPhone 6S cost about the same.

If anyone is interested in a wireless quick charger, I've purchased 2 of these now and they are actually really good quality. And I *love* the fact that it's got a built-in brightness sensor, so to the LED indicators dim when you turn out the light in the room.

Got one on the desk at work, and one of the end table at home. And I can confirm that the phone shows "Wireless Quick Charge" when I set it on one of these. I've just trained myself that *this* is where I set my phone when I put it down, and I don't even think about battery life anymore.

This is my first phone with wireless charging, and I'm 100% SOLD :)

EDIT: Just an FYI, these are coming from China, so be prepared for the 2 week shipping time.

Why is it Silly? He/She said they wanted to get an iPhone but didn't have the money for one. If you don't have an upgrade available, what's wrong with the way I mentioned to get one? It's similar to getting a credit card.

I feel like this could be improved even more. What else should I do. I removed most of T-Mobile bloatware, disabled Android Device Manager. Idk what to do now. Is this impressive?

So last night , I had charged my battery to 100% at midnight, went to bed and then woke up to it draining 11%!!! In 7.5 hours. That's to 89%. Now, tonight I charged the phone , and it was full at 100% by 10p.m. IT IS 1:38 AM and I'm down to 65%!! This is insane!!

It happened to me two times seems like 89% is the magic number. The Android OS stayed awake. Just restart the phone and charge it and it'll most likely fix the issue. The second time it was the media server.
