I was one of the lucky ones to be able to get my note 8 already. I received it yesterday, today is the first real test of using it on a daily basis, Had the phone on the charger until I left the house Around 10:30 this morning and it is now only 5:41 p.m. and my battery life is all the way down to 36%. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get the battery life to last longer, I already have everything turned down not running 4k or having the screen brightness all the way up... I think I might be sending this back faster than it came, even though I got it 10 days early lol

It takes a little bit of time for the battery to fully cycle thru charge cycles, and once you get a new phone there's gonna be software updates so that's gonna prolong the battery life , the stuff inside the battery need time to expand and contract, kinda like breaking in brand new headphones , at first the new headphones sound good but you thought they sounded better but after about 100hours of play time with them they start to come in think that's the same thing with a new battery

I sure hope so man, a lot of money to spend on a phone I just switched from my s8 + and that battery blows me away with how long a charge last! I'm just glad I have tmobile because I have "jod" so i can get a new phone every week if i really wanted.

Plus most likely on a new phone you have more on screen time than you realize

It's virtually impossible to recommend anything with the information you provided. Have you looked at what's using the battery? That would be a good place to start.

Got over 5 hours of screen time yesterday, on Pace for the same today on high performance mode

My battery life has been meh for the two days I've had it set up, and it lost a lot overnight, but it has gotten heavier use these two days than it probably will usually. I just went through and put a bunch of apps to sleep, and turned off auto sync on some, and maybe that will help.

Yea I know that I went through every setting for apps and put them all to sleep, then in also turned down the screen res, what else is there to close or change ?

What kind of screen on time are you getting?

Settings>device maintenance>battery

You guys will both get over 5 hours of screen on time, which is really good. Are you not happy with that?

I am...it's just a less than the S8plus...which would last forever...but smaller phone/screen with larger battery...I get it.
