Note 8 - spotify slowdown

Lately i have been using Spotify on my Note 8 and it seems very slow in searching for new material or songs. Looking for new podcasts or artists seem to be cycling search. Any ideas as to why? I have uninstalled a few apps thinking perhaps my storage was full - but does that cause slow down or is the processing space make it so?

I swear it's just the app in general it does A LOT of weird crud.
