I reply saying that iPhone will sell more because Android flagship market is divided among Samsung, LG, Pixels, etc. Some will choose one. Android brand and some another.

The only way I would get the iPhone X is if I switched all my tech to Apple. I think moving from Note 8 to iPhone X without the advantage of a consistent ecosystem wouldn't make sense.

(NASDAQ:AAPL) who has earned the lion’s share of the profits, albeit lesser than previous two quarters. According to the report, Apple becomes the most profitable smartphone company, garnered an operating profit of $10.18 billion in Q1 2017. This is almost 83.4% of the $12.21 billion total smartphone operating profits globally!

What is more interesting is that with just 14.9% of Smartphone shipment share in Q1 2017, Apple accounted 83% of total smartphone industry profit share

Dude you were the one who opened up the topic about sells in the first place. I was responding as to how what someone else was true that despite everything that makes the Note 8 better than the iPhone, the iPhone will still sell more than the Note 8. I mentioned that it's because in the Android world, we have choice among LG, Samsung, Pixel etc. So the market is divided. Then you swoop in to say that what we said is false because Samsung sold more, showing that you clearly did not understand our comments that it was restricted to Note 8 and iPhone.

No one says that it makes the iPhone better. We in the conversation understood that. You're the only one who didn't. I would never buy an iPhone. And saying the truth doesn't make me an Apple Knight, whatever that is. It's called stating facts. And was never intended to change your opinion. It was intended ti correct your error in understanding the conversation.

I have to agree with you. I have an iMac, a MacBook Pro, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. So come to think of it I guess I'm never leaving the Apple ecosystem.
But I also have a Note 8 and like it very much. If I could get iMesssge (and Tweetbot) on my Note 8, I'd use it a lot more. Those are the two apps that I use all day, every day.

I've been tied in a similar way for a while - 2 Macbook Pros, Time Capsule, iPads, iPhones, etc. Bought a Surface Pro along the way, and it really opened up my eyes to what's possible, even if it was far from perfect. I still think my 2011 loaded Macbook Pro 15" was the best laptop I've ever owned. My new 2017 version is fine, but no longer anything special. Same with iPhones. Just like the new Dell XPS 15 has finally caught up/surpassed the MBP, I feel that Samsung has done with Note 8. It is simply a better smartphone than an iPhone currently.

Ha! Like the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's treasure. But seriously, just because something is not my taste, I wouldn't call it trash. There IS something to be said for Apple's seamless integration between devices, and for some, that makes iPhone worth it. Even if it doesn't have all the bells, whistles, and customization of Samsung or other Android flagship phones.

Same with me, I have MBA that I use for work and iPad that I rarely use after I got my note 8. Despite the different ecosystem, I don't have much problem. I don't really miss the iPhone. iMessage was great, but I rarely text anyone on it anymore, mainly is on FB messenger. This helped me able to migrate to the android since I no longer rely on apple owned apps (iMessage, FaceTime, apple pay). I could've wait for the iPhone X, but after seeing all the leaks and stuff, I wasn't impress and liked the note 8 more. Couldn't be happier with my decision.

I was an iPhone user up until the 6S and 6S+. Those were the last two iPhones that I have bought and most likely the last forever.

I still have a few iPads, a few MBPs, and some Apple watches.

I just don't like where Apple is headed with their phones and since Apple has stopped allowing app developers to block ads in apps using VPNs, that helped make up my mind even more. I will not support a company that has the power to tell me what I can and can't do on my phone. I block ads in apps using AdGuard Pro on all of my Android phones and NO ONE will ever tell me that I can't do so.
