Note 8 to iPhone X?

I did enter here thinking that i would find something more then "no way! my Note is way better than the crappy iPhone", but I was wrong. If somebody can help me I would really appreciate it, I am thinking to switch to Android with a Note from my iPhone 7, I already ordered my iPhone X, but I see the screen will not be really bigger than the one in the iPhone 8 Plus. Besides that I was thinking that I can use the SPen to sign directly in documents, but besides that, what else is the advantage over the iPhone, which functionalities you would never change from an Android phone? It is stable nowdays? I do not care about the price or customization. I want something that works well and not a bunch of bad taste icons that i could download.
Thank you!

The ability to write on PDF and sign docs is really useful. I have filled out and sent whole forms on the go with ease. Expandable storage is great. When you get a new device you just pop in your sd card and you have all your content. Samsung pay is by far the best mobile payment service ever. You can literally make money just by using it. I've easily made over 2k $ since using it. Nothing can compare to the Spen, quick notes is easy with screen off. Always on display is good also it saves you from checking every notification cause you can just see if it's one you need to look at right away. Split screen multitasking comes in handy to. The note 8 is definitely for power users and business oriented people. I can go on and on...

I don't know how you can say the screen on the X will be really bigger than the Plus... the phone will have a footprint just bigger than the smaller 8 but total screen size will be bigger than the Plus'. I actually think it will be a great balance in screen size and footprint size for carrying around.

I'm ok with the Note 8 size but I do prefer it was smaller like V30 size. I can carry in slacks and cargo pant pockets but jeans I find it too tight in sitting position.

From the Youtube unbox and short review videos of the X yesterday, it looks like the X will be a nice phone and comments so far positive. Can't go wrong with either choice... you're basically looking at top phones of the year.

Android Pay sucks - Samsung Pay is much better and can be used anywhere a credit card is swiped.

Yeah only in the US though. For the rest of the world Android Pay, Samsung Pay and Apple Pay are identical and use only NFC. Almost every store there is have NFC terminals and MST was phased out about 10 years ago.

if you do end up giving thr Note 8 a chance, DO expect a learning curve, especially if you have lived with iphones for years but I'm sure if you keep an open mind and give it a month then you'll forever be converted to the Note series.
Sinc my first Note 2 ( then 3 and 4 ) I just can't go back to smaller screens

There's a tonne of little things I really miss when I jump back to iPhone. Things like not being able to stream videos or photos to your TV from the phone or mirror is screen is a bummer, no Always On Display, not being able to completely change the look of my desktop and Launcher if I feel like it. Not only does the Note 8 have a stylus but it also has DeX so you can quickly connect to a keyboard, mouse and monitor to turn it into a desktop pc if that's important to you. If there's a feature missing on your Android phone that you enjoyed on another phone there's usually an app or a tweak you can install to give you that feature but with iPhone you get what you're given and that's it. I'll remember lot more once I finish this comment too I'm sure but all the little things add up to big things and frustrate me after a short while. I love iOS and I love iPhone's. I've had every one from the 3G to the 7 Plus and to use that old cliché - they just work! But the restrictions get to me and I jump back to Android everytime. I'm not sure if I like the iPhone X or if I'm just getting swept aboard the hype train but the sensible side of me tells me all the new gestures to replace buttons and taking away Reachability would just kill me. My Note 8 is on its way anyway so that decision has already been made and I'll sit back and see how the iPhone X turns out. If it's a big success I might try out next years follow up

A few weeks ago, I wouldn't have cared at all. Then I read an article on Android Central about setting app defaults and making my device, more Microsoft. Yeah, think what you want, but thats the way I like it. Bottom line, you can't do that in anything Apple. Just having this feature alone....this single feature trumps anything that comes out in the near future from apple. No offense intended. I may not stay on the note 8...my pixel 2xl arrives tomorrow...but I will not be buying an iPhone X. I have an iPhone 8+, the Note 8 and the pixel 2xl(tomorrow) .. 1 of those 3 will be my driver for the next 6 months. I've pretty much eliminated the 8+ while using the Note 8...so we'll see.....

Short answer...oh hell no.

Lol. I get the sarcasm. But some might not. Here's the sources:

IPhone 7 and 7+ sells 78million units by Jan 2017;
https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/www.../apple-iphone-7-tim-cook-first-quarter-sales/

Samsung S7 and S7 Edge together sells 55 million units by May 2017
https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/www...-galaxy-s7-cross-55-million-units-768359/amp/

Apples to oranges comparison: if you want an apple flagship, those are your only choices ; if you want Android flagship, Samsung's offerings are what, about 20% of the total offerings available, or less.?... So the two can't be compared on a 1:1 basis in that sense.

How is it Apples to oranges when we were specifically talking about how Apple and Samsung flagship sales? We weren't talking about Android and Apple. We were talking brands. And we were talking that no matter how better the Note 8 is, Apple will sell better because of the very fact you mentioned, which I also mentioned in an earlier post? I already

To quote myself:

True. Top of the line Android market will be divided between Samsung, LG, Pixels, Huawei... Top of the line iOS Market has one product. Ok two, but the 8 will probably sell less than the X anyway.

Then some guy came in and told us that it wasn't true that Apple outsells the Android flagships in a per brand basis.

You shouldn't take things outside of context.

I considered the X to replace my 7+. Decided the bigger screen, possibly better battery, fingerprint sensor and customization was more for me to go back to android.

I would like a Note 8 or iPhone X the size of V30 with flat screen for better glass screen protector adhesion. I don't hate the V30 but nothing to love either. Feels like the silly notch in the X shows it should have been a discarded version and replaced with something better. A little larger bezel with no notch and front facing stereo speakers. Android or IOS I can live with either. iPhone X plus would be nice or a Note the size of the 7
