He doesn't need anyone else to try it, just needs to try different fingers. I did try that, and none of them worked, only the ones I have set up. And it does work great

Phone beeped .
Woke me up.
Said their was a update for the FPS.
I hit Install and go back to sleep.
It did everything itself.

It ain't in the software updates.

I haven't noticed much of a change in the behavior of the sensor, but I really wish it provided haptics when pressing. I know it does when there's no match, but I'd like one when successful. Maybe a quick buzz when successful and long when unsuccessful.

Those failures were only with silicone protectors besides you could test with an unregistered finger.

I have the unlocked model on Verizon and have the update so maybe it a variant thing.
