Note10+ fingerprint sensor slow as hell!

I agree three seconds would be slow, but I haven't found the delay to be over a second with either the S10+ or Note10+. Granted that capacitive still has the edge if speed means much but so far the ultrasonic hasn't changed my life. Rear capacitive FPS was fine but some like it up front so it's the devil we're dealing with for now.

I remember when they put the FPS on the back, there was complaint after complaint about the location, now it is the best place for it. Examples, It's hard to reach, it doesn't read my print unless I have it completely on the reader which is hard to reach....I personally like it where it's at now, under the screen. Drawbacks, it does not work with dirty hands, not talking just muddy hands. If the screen is dirty, Dusty it will give some issues. You have to register your fingerprints exactly right, and yes it's a second, if that, longer to read your fingerprints, if that's an issue then maybe people need to slow down in life or use a different unlock method which probably won't be any quicker.

Samsung is at least trying this out, they use feedback and improve with updates and future phone releases. Yes, it's a thousand plus phone, but I surely hope nobody upgraded to the note 10 for the FPS, it's a feature that works for most. Everyone I've seen in my personal life that got the s10 or note 10, first thing I ask them is how is the FPS working, and they all say great. The reviews for the s10 were all out there on the FPS, nobody should have thought there was any difference on the note 10.

The only way to keep most people happy is to put every option on every phone, but even then someone would want something else. I just buy what I like. If a device is missing a feature I really want I just move to a different device. I also have learned to adapt rather than complain.

Very true

Or maybe remove every option and show people exactly what they could be using instead.

I find different fingerprints work better. My left thumb works all the time. My right thumb, my fingerprint is more smooth and does not work as well. My index finger works fine, but I find that very awkward to use on the note 10+.
My left thumb definitely works better than my right. Index fingers are hit and miss.

Well, people are here talking about the good things and the not so good things about this phone. It doesn't mean they regret buying it. If people who bought the phone are having an issue with some aspect of it, it should be expected that they will come here to discuss it. If you don't like to see complaining, maybe avoid certain thread topics. Those topics are useful though to others who may be wondering if they are alone, or looking for answers that might help. I expect honest discussions here about the handset we bought - both the good and the bad. I have played around with it a lot to get the FPS to work as good as I can with my generally dry fingertips (occupational). At this point it's pretty clear that dry hands are the achillies heal of this tech. It's sort of working, but previous tech worked much better for me without question.
I expect this to improve over time. I am already reading about upgrades to the in-screen FPS on the S11, including a much larger sensor area.

You misinterpreted my post. I stated my opinion and how I react to things I don't like. Never did I state that people shouldn't complain or that I didn't want to hear anyone complain. Your advice for me to avoid certain threads is uncalled for and I could give you the same advice since you didn't like my post but that's not my style and it would be inappropriate.
