NOTE5 constantly reboots and unresponsive in Android Recovery

[Android Central Question]

My Note5 became sluggish and I have, on more than one occasion, cleared the system cache from the Recovery menu with great success to resume normal operation. I attempted this again yesterday and I reach the recovery menu but pressing the up/down volume buttons doesn't work. Any ideas?

Your stuck in recovery mode? Try holding volume down and power same time for 10 seconds.

Welcome to Android Central! If the Vol buttons don't work in Recovery, then I'd be concerned about a hardware failure.
