[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

battery life

as far as the battery life goes, this method seems to be working for the most number of people to improve their battery life:

Follow the battery life thread instructions about charging to 100%, power off and keep it charging til it hits 100% again, turn it back on, charge back to 100%.

Then power off, reset battery stats, and run your battery down to 5-7% off that single charge. Plug back in, and charge back to 100% (preferably with the phone off, like overnight).

These steps WORK fellas. I'm actually getting as good/if not better battery life on DL30 now than I was from DL09 with a custom UV'd kernel.

lol land shark top poster you are turning into a mini me ,,,,,again tears to my eyes :'( lol

i feel comfortable leaving the thread awhile knowing you are manning the post :D

ok thanks alot.... im going to redo all steps that i mentioned and leave out the system data. then try the battery method.

thanks again

when you did the restore you were only supposed to restore missing apps with data. do not restore system data. that is restoring data from your previous build, some of which would be incompatible with EB01

Yeah, I found that out my first flash of EB01. It does weird stuff if you restore system data. Really weird stuff.

You're welcome and good luck. There's always someone on the forums who can help you if you run into a stumbling block

Thanks DroidXcon. You are so great. I got EB01DB flashed in no time, and it was super easy, so some newb like me cans do this as no brainer. DL09 rooted with green cwm to EB01 debloated in 15min.
As my 2cents, I forgot to download new red cwm update.zip(newb lol newb), and flashed EB01DB with Odin. It installed without any hick ups, and went well. I installed red cwm afterwards, it runs smooth. I thank you all you dev people loudly. THANK YOU ALL.

DroidXcon, what I meant installing update.zip was copying into sdcard root. Not exactly re-install, I guess. Sorry for confusions, I'm still learning term as well.:-[ Just copied, and bum. Red cwm was up and running! Thanks again. I will thank Adrynayne right after this.

Not sure which keyboard sounds you're referring to, but did you go to Language & keyboard, Swype, and uncheck Audio Feedback OR Language & keyboard, Android keyboard, and uncheck Sound on keypress?

I was in the sound settings menu....not the keyboard one! duh me!

First off i would like to give respect to Droidxcon Adrenalyne and all the others for all the help and instructions on there fascinates.. Im totally new and gonna give it a try....couple questions im running baseband version si1500.04V EA28
Kernel version 2.6.29
Build number sch I1500.EA28
Do i have to install anything else besides what you guys instructed ? I was gonna try EB01dxc tar md5 ....... Thank you guys so much for teaching us newbies !!!! O one other thing once i install update zip on sd card to i open it immediately thanx guys

just flashed superclean. ROCKS so far (12 min, LOL) My only concern, took about 4 min for the update, not 9. Re-Flashed it, just to be safe, 4 min................... here's me crossing my fingers.

DL'd Debloated version to flash, just in case. :)

Formated SD card first to go totally clean (then moved the update.zip there), wiped twice, wiped partition twice, then odin'd.

More to follow.

Hey thank you for the praise :)

ok to answer your questions no you dont need anything else just pick your flavor and follow the directions

and the update.zip file is left alone after you put it on your sd card

that is uesed to enter red clockwork from stock recovery, there is an option to apply sdcard:update.zip and this will enter you into red clockwork but if you dont need it thats fine.but just leave the update.zip there so if you ever do want to use it

ok how do i get to the advanced menu to reset batt stats
????

if you put the update.zip on your sd card boot into stock recovery scroll to apply sdcard:update.zip, press the home button, this will lead you to red clockwork, then scroll down to advanced, press power button to select, then you will see wipe battery stats

OK. I've read all 34 pages of this post. Here goes...wish me LUCK!

good luck:D
