Can I just flash the .tar 2.2 file over 2.1? will this wipe my phone again? its okay if it does, just wondering.

yes it is,,,,,,i am considering making a verison that wont wipe but this may cause FC issues, and im trying to avoid that and the troubleshooting involved with it

ok. Before I was corrected about unzipping the .tar.rar, I tried changing the file extension and lashing that, which failed. Now, when I am trying to flash the unzipped, ODIN is hanging up with this message:

Hang on, got ODIN to restart and flashing EB01 stock back, then will flash SC2.2

Got it now, good to go. The flash back worked.

now for my question:

I just noticed that in the stock browser there isn't an option for opening up a bookmarked page. I can add bookmarks. not sure what's up with that. I don't really like any of the other browsers.

The Bookmarks option isn't a menu option anymore. Click the button to the right of the address bar in the browser window to pull up saved bookmarks.

Hang on, got ODIN to restart and flashing EB01 stock back, then will flash SC2.2

Samsung at the bottom click software then download and install latest drivers

disable any anti virus you have

remove battery and leave it out throughout the entire process

Change USB ports in the back of the computer,,,,dont use remote ports like monitor

Reading about resetting battery but I can't seen to find exactly how to do this.....any help woud be appreciated.

Reading about resetting battery but I can't seen to find exactly how to do this.....any help woud be appreciated.

Just a point of clarification because I know DroidXcon would say the same thing. He did not develop EB01. EB01 is the leaked Froyo update for our Fascinates that Verizon has not pushed out yet. Adrynalyne got his hands on the leak and devloped pretty much all the versions we all have available here. DroidXcon did a hell of a lot of work to package all the different versions into what you have in this thread to make it easy on everyone to enjoy the Froyo goodness. So everybody make sure to hit the thank button as many times as you can on any of Adrynalyne's and DroidXcon's posts.

Now for your question about the battery. You can try the methods in post #1 or post #12 of this thread:

And courtesy of user MonkeyGrass we have this method which worked wonders for my battery life:

Follow the battery life thread instructions about charging to 100%, power off and keep it charging til it hits 100% again, turn it back on, charge back to 100%.

Then power off, reset battery stats, and run your battery down to 5-7% off that single charge. Plug back in, and charge back to 100% (preferably with the phone off, like overnight)

If any of the battery methods works for you let everyone know here on the forums and hit the thanks button on whosever method worked for you.

No worries, we've all been there. When you first get into recovery (cwm) it should be blue unless something has changed with these new packages. Hit the volume down button once to highlight apply sdcard:update.zip and hit the home key (looks like a house), this will take you into red cwm where you will do any flashing (installing) of future ROMs, themes, etc. you download to your sd card. On the first red page, the second to last option is advanced. You could hit the volume down key to get to the bottom, but it's quicker to hit the volume up button twice. Advanced should be highlighted, but don't hit the home key, in red cwm you use the power button to make choices. Inside advanced I believe the third or fourth option down is wipe battery stats. highlight that and hit the power button. you will come to a screen where it will ask you if you are sure you want to do this, there is only one yes option-all the others are no. highlight yes and hit the power button. I don't think you get a notification letting you know it was finished. Hit the menu key (lower left of your phone) to get back to the main red cwm page. The fist option highlighted on that page should be reboot system now. Hit the power button and wait for your phone to reboot.

I think boot animations will probably be slow in coming. right now the devs and everyone who has the skill level are busy trying to fix bugs and problems people are finding with EB01. I know Gunnermike53 was testing out themes in the theme thread, but I think he may be busy right now trying to purposefully find bugs and problems and brick his phone to keep the devs busy
