[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

I've tried flashing the dl09.tar radio through odin twice and each time it unrooted/restocked my phone ..then after re-rooting, flashing cwm-recovery all-fix through odin, I booted into cwm red flashed sc2.9.2 & otb-oc kenrel ..I dropped another kernel on my sd to flash but now I boot into orange recovery. I haven't flashed anything else besides sc ..anyone know what I did/doing wrong?

Stop using rom manager is the simple explanation. It's the only way I know you could end up with orange CWM. CWM orange doesn't work with the fascinate, and rom manager uses CWM orange.

OK I went from DL09 which I had ROM manager running and Sonofskywalkers Blackhole BYO 3.0 which worked great. Yesterday I loaded EB01DB_DXC.tar so I could have FROYO. Install went off without a problem. Is it true that ROM manager will not work with this. I tried to put the newer Blackhole on it and it boots buts loops at the first boot screen. Any fixes or should I load a SC, If so which one?

Ya, rom manager now uses orange CWM, and it doesn't work with froyo for the fascinate. Black hole for rom manager probably uses a script for orange CWM. I think you're stuck without blackhole. You could check the thread over at XDA and see. I'm not too sure though. Maybe someone has played with Blackhole and knows better?

I honestly didnt use rom manager ...I used it once a while ago and was told not to use it and havent since.. I only flash with odin and cwm

It's not rom manager. Read the instructions for the OTB kernel in the thread over at XDA. It is explained it will convert to orange CWM 3.0.0.8. After you flash the OTB kernel, you have to ODIN the new 03/30 CWM-fix file from GizmoDroid and jt1134.

I just flashed 2.9.2 via odin! My newb question is... Is this the Voodoo version? How can I tell?

Since you said you flashed it in ODIN, you must have used one of DroidXcon's packages from this thread. You are on the nonvoodoo version. All of DroidXcon's packages are nonvoodoo.

Thanks Landshark! How do I go about getting the Voodoo version? & can I get it without wiping data?

Same here! Just flashed 2.9.2 voodoo w/Comavolt!!! Everything is working great... Big thanks to all you guys!:)

Yes. The ROM itself is not voodoo, only the kernel is. So in order to convert to voodoo, all you would have to do is flash a voodoo kernel in cwm, then before you reboot, scroll to voodoo on the bottom of the main cwm menu, power button, look to make sure it says enable after "next reboot." If it doesn't just hit power button while enable lag fix is highlighted. Then hit the menu soft key or search key once, then power button once to reboot. Wait, wait, wait, and while you are waiting listen to lady droid talking to you.

Thanks again LandShark! I actually did the droidxcon 2.92 odin version earlier... Then saw the adrenalyne sfc 2.92voodoo version and just flashed that over via cwm (What exactly are the differences between the two versions besides one being voodoo?). I also got the comavolt voodoo kernel off of XDA. So far so good, hopefully I did everything right.

In the first post he describes the voodoo differences

Thank you very much to LandShark, Kevin, DroidXCon, SheepDog, Cory, Adrynalyne and all of you that answered my questions in regards to flashing and preparing to flash froyo. So now I have to go figure out my phone all over again. Thank you for being patient with me and now my questions won't be about how to install froyo but maybe how to put everything I saved on My Backup back on my phone =)

im about to flash the EC01 radio/modem. dumb question but do i extract out the modem.bin file and point odin to that file or leave it in the 'ec01_radio.tar' file and point to it?

Refresher time for everyone. You have to look at the ending of the file name. DroidXcon's ODIN packages have to be extracted because the file name ends in .tar.rar. You have to extract the tar file out of the rar file. Tar and bin files are flashed in ODIN as is. Zip files are flashed in clockworkmod recovery (CWM.) DroidXcon's ODIN packages are the only files you have to extract something out instead of flashing in either ODIN or CWM as is.
