[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

Quick question, I am beginning to feel pretty comfortable with everything I've learned in these forums in regards to rooting and the various builds and so forth, but why exactly does the browser in SC 2.9.2 that I flashed last night bring my homepage to us cellular? that was a bit confusing lol. I know this is nothing major, but it definetly sparked my curiousity.

the rom was shares code with the mesmerize version of froyo

Oh alright, so I simply just change to whatever homepage I want and go about my business like it's nothing? lol. Oh and what's up with the different clock app, I can no longer set a custom ringtone as my alarm tone.. it's nothing like the original clock I'm used to. I guess there's just a lot of new things to get used to and learn about with this, but I do like it so far! Oh and why isn't there as many homepages to customize like in stock? This is like a whole new ball game to me lol.

Edit: Everytime I tried to apply one of my ringtones saved on my SDcard as an alarm tone it gave me a force close error. I haven't messed around much with applying these tones as any other type of tone on my phone yet.. I'm just taking it step by step.

After I flashed to 2.9.2 some how my phone just automatically restored all the apps I USED to have without me doing anything.. I didn't actually want it to do that, I wanted to start fresh and only install certain apps that I actually wanted rather than everything I had before. I can't figure out what is causing it keep doing this.. I've flashed back to stock and re-flashed 2.9 and 2.9.2 and it still happened. So I flashed back to stock again and that's where I am currently at until I can get this figured out. Anyone know what is causing it to do that? It was even re-adding apps that I had erased in the past, that's what really confused me.

froyo has a feature, before you log into your account disable it
settings>privacy>auto restore

but it should only give you this option once cause its linked to your account. but disable it anyway

Oh alright, another quick question. If I wanted to start trying out themes and such that's when I would indeed need the update.zip on the root of my sdcard correct? In which case I flash those through clockwork recovery, I must admit it's not exactly hard to use I just love the simplicity of odin lol.

Don't use update.zip method. Just flash them in cwm by using install zip from sdcard option.

Alright awesome, that makes things simple! Yeah I was looking into the EC01 ROM, but I'm not quite comfortable with that I don't think, I'd rather stick with SC2.9.2 I just really like that black alien theme I saw in another post.

On a new phone with EA28 I install EB01DB_DXC then EC10SC292x_DXC. Then I added SuperDark V3 theme. I was told by someone that Superclean 292 that it would work with Wired Tether 1.4 but it says unsupported kernel. Wireless Tether though does work. Is there another kernel that I can use or what? I heard EB16 kernel is buggy so I don't want it.

You can check JaeKar99's Themes, ROMs, Kernels thread and try some of the EC10 kernels there. Your best chance may be some of jt1134's kernels

Going Back to Factory...

Alright, this seems pretty straight forward (and about my speed). I have not
rooted any phones but I'm willing to give it a shot. Could you explain how you
can put the phone back to factory specs, out of the box? I am amazed how
easy this looks. Pictures are good. Thanks for helping the meek. Gnome

all information to return to stock is here

it is sticked in the roms and hacks section.

Bluetooth

I went from Dl09 to EB01DB_DXC. Bluetooth wont pair now. Is this a known issue? Also the phone is running super slow now. Should I try and flash SC?

2. Next you will need a Froyo tar file which will be placed in the PDA section of odin.

Ok...question. If I have already root with 2.2 and have CWM full (with red kernel), do I simply just use Odin and flash the 2.9 and then flash 2.9.2? Anything I need to remove or change first? And when doing so, does this flash with the full CWM or will I need to install the red kernel again after the flash?
