[Odin] Froyo leaked packaged custom ROMs w/root and clockwork **UPDATED**3/25

okay thanks soo I went with the full stock froyo it didn't take as long as it said it would 9mins? it was a more like umm 5 or soo and it didn't take that long to reboot either soo I dunno but it seems like everything is working right.
thanks

Did you use one of DroidXcon's ODIN packages or did you flash the modem and ROM separately?

Thanks DroidXcon! worked like a charm!! Your posts have helped me a lot. Sometimes it takes the right language to help me get it, being a visual person, you have helped me feel comfortable enough to handle trying all of this. Much appreciated!

Odin should recognize the .tar.md5 file now as long as 7zip and winrar are installed. Try odin and see if it recognizes it
Droid X, I guess the .xlsx was the pic of the unknown file icon that I pasted here.

used odins package

As long as everything is working ok it shouldn't be a problem. People have reported all kinds of different times for using DroidXcon's packages. He put a ton of work into putting them together, so make sure to the thanks button below a lot of his posts, he deserves it. And Happy Froyo to you! Keep checking the forums to pick up tips, tricks, and potential bugs and problems.

I just installed the super clean 2.2 and it's perfect!! no extra crap, and almost as good as my nexus one!!! Love it, thank you very much!!!

landshark - i figured it out now - i needed to downloaded 64bit samsung drivers and now all is well - i got droidxcon's debloated/deodexed eb01!! - im not sure what to do next though - im rooted, but what can i do with this "superpower?" - also the debloated version still has a lot of bloatware - is there a way to get rid of this? - does 2.2 require an app killer btw? - sorry for all the questions im throwing at you..

I can see the file, it has the Winrar book icon next to it. Do I just hit start or do I have to extract the files?

Sweet. If you want to keep the debloated/deodexed rom you can download root explorer from the market and use that to get rid of the extra bloat. Or you can do like I did, take the shortcut and just flash Adrynalyne's superclean 2.2. It is even further debloated and uses a custom kernel. Forget you even heard the words app killer. It does not exist. Do not use an app killer. And now that I think of it, Adrynalyne mentioned he is working on superclean version 2.3, so I would just wait until he updates his post with that. Once he does you will be able to download that rom to your sd card and flash it through recovery (cwm). Good job on finding the solution to your problem, and Happy Froyo to you! I hope you have the same experience I am having because my phone is rocking now, super fast, no lag, everything runs smoothly

no build that the fascinate has had needs a task killer, 90% of phones dont need a task killer they cause more problems then they are worth.... if you want something more debloated than that i suggest you flash superclean 2.2 instead ,,,as far as root here is a thread on apps that you can now use

landshark - ill probably wait for superclean 2.3 and i just got rid of my app killer....in the meantime i had another question - droidxcon asked us to save "update.zip" to our sdcard. - im guessing this has something to do with cwm and recovery - im not really sure what it's there for...when im ready to flash a rom like superclean, is that when this comes in handy?

You do not need ODIN to flash themes or boot animations. Simply save the zip file to your sd card, go into recovery, you will start in blue recovery, hit the volume down button once to highlight apply sdcard:update.zip, hit the home key. this will take you into red recovery (cwm). highlight install from sd card, but this time in red you use the power button to choose, find the zip file for whatever theme or animation you want to install, highlight it and hit the power button. confirm you want to take that action and hit the power button. once you get the installation complete confirmation hit the menu key to go back to the main red menu where the first thing on the menu list which will be highlighted is reboot system now. Hit the power button and wait for your phone to reboot. I'm sorry I haven't had the time to learn about battery framework yet, but there are more experienced people on here who can answer that. Good luck.

Thanks for the detailed instructions, that makes it a lot more clear to me!

On another note, saw that EB01 superclean 2.1 does not support boot animations yet, correct? Just want to make sure so I don't try flashing one and mess up.

An does anyone know the name of the app for the AC Forums (Taptalk?? i think), i've been trying to find it but I haven't had any luck. The option to buy it initially came up when the page loaded on my SF, but it hasn't in a while. I didn't think I'd be on here as much as I am :), very addicting!

:cool::):cool:
