can i just flash it over stock eb01 via clockwork or should i use odin? also does everthing work with sc 2.6?
yeah you can flash right over,,, i am pretty sure everything works i have no problems,,,if you use odin use the no wipe version

You should be able to place a block on your account for VZ apps in the market place. I was charged $10 when I first got my phone for NFS game for some dumb reason. There isn't an app in their marketplace that I want to use or be charged for, so the block should prevent me from ever getting charged for something like that again. Won't know until I pet the badger, but I don't like the badger, so I will leave the badger alone.
That said, wireless tether isn't their app, so you shouldn't get charged. I specifically asked Verizon about applications like that, and whether they cared or not. I was told that I can download, install and run anything in the market. If the app belongs to Verizon, they'll support you because you're paying for the app to work the way they say it should. Any other app support comes from that maker, and Verizon pretty much has a hands-off policy. I was specifically talking to them about wireless tether.
That doesn't mean that Verizon likes those kinds of apps, or that they won't put stop measures into place to prevent them from working, but as she said, "If you can install it and get it to work for free, then enjoy the same service that Verizon charges for... for free"
That's my personal experience. And with that said, my month starts tomorrow, Tuesday. I will have to use the WT starting tomorrow to see if I get some sort of charge in the following month. Having not used it before, maybe its time to pet the badger.

If I understand correctly, the EB01 is leaked 2.2 for the Fascinate. EB16 is for the Mesmerize. They seem to share around 75% or so of the same files, and fit nicely into modding the Fascinate. This is why some of the graphics are a bit different.
Took me a little bit of time to get used to some of the changes in the notification bar, but it's sleeker, and still runs pretty darn snappy if you ask me. If Verizon was to tell me today that I was on my own with my new phone, and that I lost my warranty. So be it. DXC and Adryn have both given me more reasons to own this phone than Verizon or Samsung has.
And to answer your question about one being better than the other? That's up to you, but you can better gauge that here and here at Adrynalyne's post
thanks standupdad, so i downloded, extracted, now i can flash via odin? and if i dont like it flash back via odin?
i checked out adrynalyns post i dont think sc is for me as i like alot of the stock stuff....but i got my eye on debloated deodexed eb01....what exactly is deodexed?
You're welcome, and yes, you can flash back with Odin.
One of my flash experiences took me to flashing my phone back to the Stock DI01 ROM with Odin (through a link from DroidX and GunnerMike). So if you don't like what you see here, you can always go back to the stock VZ ROM.

From the link below, "Deodexed roms are modified to allow replacement of many apps that are crucial to the phones operations. Most super clean roms are deodexed, and will allow you to install compatible software."
This also allows you to install themes. I'm not into themes, but you can customize the look of your Fascinate in ways that Verizon never meant you to do with an odexed version.

Not my own words, I'm just paraphrasing what was written in another post by someone smarter and more knowledgeable than me. Basically, and in very simplified terms so I can understand, Verizon puts out an odexed version which means the apps and everything else are fragmented. Deodexing puts the fragments together to allow you to run custom ROMs, themes, etc.

If flashing to Superclean 2.6 do I want EB16SC26_DXC.tar or EB16SC26x_DXC.tar if I don't want things wiped?
Also, I am still concerned with the part of plugging in by USB cable since I have that mount issue going on.
I really want Superclean 2.6 now and I hope I can do this.

EB16SC26x_DXC.tar this does not wipe data
try to use a PC ,,,laptops are not as reliable
make sure you download the drivers i provide in step #1,,,dont worry about the update.zip file
make sure you are using the USB ports in the back of the computer
disable any antivirus
make sure the battery is out
in download mode reguardless of connecting properly while its on usually works because it uses a generic connection
NEVER, factory reset from within a custom rom, this can result in a brick, there are odin files that will return you to stock safely. just ask and we shall provide
Need some help. SC 2.6
So I broke down and finally installed SC 2.6 just a few minutes ago.
Had no problems with odin or booting up the phone.
But when I go to the market to download titanium backup, the market comes up with an error that says download was unsuccessful..
I've tried rebooting my phone and downloading other apps but they all have the same error.
Any suggestions?

what was the state of your phone before you flashed this, what build were you on, were you running voodoo....etc
